They call me constantly at work, I answered one day, the lady did say to hold after trying to verify that it was me.  I did not give in and asked who she was, she said she is invloved with a compnay that helps other business find people.  That is prolly why the number area code is washington, not MN. I got the guy on the line and he tried as well.  I have a funny feeling if you say you have never heard of that person and that this is a business that they will stop.  He was very rude and said that he will call back tomorrow when i feel like verifying who I am....inwhich I will lie.  Sorry to lie but after reading all this, I too can not afford for them to harrass me at work.  I know my credit report like the back of my hand and I know I HAD bad dept fomr over 10 years ago when I was a silly kid....but I also know that dept is long gone and does not even show up on my report and hasn't for some time!

This is the best thing I heard so far...I'll do it next time. It is so sad that we get sick and have to go to the hospital and how the economy is, I don't have money...not even a dollar to pay these people.

This number calls.  Asks me to hold because all their reps are busy.  I am not holding.  Identify yourself/send me a letter.

Some people are having a hard time right now.
If these people are willing to pay the debt off over time, you should not be so critical of them.

we are filing bankruptcy and they are aware of this .... very sad we cant pay but they harrassment isn't helping

we are a family of 5 who lives very minutely when my husband lost his job due to financial struggles that are all over this country right now.  My youngest who is 1 had a high fever of 104 so we took him to the er we lost our insurance and couldn't pay the regular doctor bill what are we to do when we don't have the money we almost lost him when he was 5 months old told he wouldn't make it through the night so we must take him to the doctors with the high fevers. So people who sit all high and mighty need to come off the high horse and see people struggle these people call my husbands phone three to four times a day even calls on a Sunday in the mornings. We try to set up payment arrangements and they wont accept it want it in full. when i read what you wrote it made me glad somebody put the snob in their place. This company is full of bullies that should try and listen to the debtie and maybe then they would get their money i can make small payments to pay off my debt and feel that i should be allowed to personally.

I didn't answer the call, but now that i know what the number is for i want it to stop.

I read a great tip and that is to sign up for Google Voice - which is free.  Whenever you call in to check your voicemail (after you have signed up) it will be empty (b/c these people don't leave a mesage).  Hit 'more options' then you have the option to 'mark this call as spam' which will block the number.  You can also play a recording for that specific number that says your number has been disconnected.

I have NO respect for companies that are shady like this and harass people at all hours of the day.  Hope this helps everyone!

You can also call the original creditor, make a payment arrangement or deal (they'll try to tell you you're in collections... tell then you don't deal with IC Systems and why).  Once you do that and keep the arrangment, they'll call off the dogs and the bstrds won't get their commission.

You do have the right to ask them to stop calling... Check your facts first.  You can ask them to only contact you by mail.  If you set up a payment plan...they will accept it.  Tell them it either that or nothing at all.

this is exactly what i did.  i called the creditor.  at first they insisted i pay IC.  i was firm but polite about it that i wasnt going to pay IC i would just rather pay them directly.  they finally accepted that and i made payment arrangements through the oriiginal creditor.  they will call IC to stop calling me.

These people are Collectors--ONLY.  You DO NOT ---I REPEAT--OWE them.  Your credit WILL NOT be affected in any way. Do not deal with these bottom-feeders, just hang up!. Think about it, please! The hospitals and docs could care less, thats why it is just handed over to the so-called collectors who will take anything for themselves, the drs and hospitals never see a red cent!!!

I have received a call from this number a couple times. Every time I answer, nobody speaks and then they hang up. When i don't answer, they don't leave a message. Answer, don't answer....nothing. What the heck?!

Um, yes, you do. They can't refuse to accept any payment arrangement, while still calling and demanding money.

Things are tough and medical bills are impossible to pay without insurance. Don't get upset about it just do what you can do. No one has a right to expect anything else.
