Ps: most of these bill collectors are bullies and must feel they are so big and powerful which in actuality they have none so they pretend on the job.. I'd think too personally they must be very insecure bitter and miserable people themselves

I've had one wonderful bill collector in my life!:)) Mrs. Butterbottom  and she was lovely and professional and guess what ? We made a plan they got paid and all for mrs buttebottom  !!!

And yes I have major medical debt unfortunately and many health issues... Of course I'd pay them all off if I had the money immediately !!! Absolutely and I just hang up now if I get a nasty bill collector ( I don't get them often but 2 of them call at all hours they are tricky people and I don't care anymore
Just hang up on them and also call the company and ask for a professional collector I've done that and it all works out once you get a good rep on the line !! Good luck hope that things are getting better for you!!

If you have a cell phone, install Mr. Number and then you can block any number you want. The call gets blocked and doesn't even go to voicemail. Callers get blocked after 1 ring.

These people reek of scum sucking bottom feeding scammers but they're just debt collectors, which is basically the same thing in my book.

So they have called me at work 2 days in a row now. The first time they called the receptionist answered the call, she placed them on hold for me and they hung up before I could pick up the call to see what they were calling about. Today I was able to answer the call first and I grabbed this number 202-367-9813 from the caller ID. I spoke with two people. First person I spoke with was Brandy who informed me the call was being recorded and asked for me by name. I responded with "I am Mariah ____. Who are you with and what are you calling about?" She responded, "I'm with IC Systems, I will transfer your call now." The next person I spoke with was a Ryan who again asked me to confirm who I was. I repeated the same line "I am Mariah ____. Who are you with and what are you calling about?" He responded with, "Do you still receive mail at [rattled off my recently vacated address]?" I again asked him to identify the company he was calling on behalf of and to tell me what he was calling about. He said, "I'm with I.C. Systems, I am calling about a personal business matter. Do you receive mail at..." I cut him off, "What personal business matter are you calling about?" "I have to confirm your address before I tell you that." I said, "I already told you that I am Mariah _____. Now what are you calling about?" He claimed, "Well anyone can just say they are who we're trying to reach." At this point I got mad with the run around and responded, "If you're not willing to identify the reason for your call I don't have time to waste talking to you. I don't know who you are or why you're calling me, why would I give out my address to someone I don't know? You're calling me at my work. You can not call me at work. Do not call me at this number ever again." His response, "Ok we'll find a better time to contact you then." Exasperated I hung up.

Debt collectors attempting to collect a debt over the phone are required by law to say so. Responding to the question, "What are you calling about?" with, "A personal business matter" is not sufficient to satisfy the law.

Checking my credit report I see this particular company has opened 3 accounts over the years, all for outstanding medical bills. One is well past the SOL for suing and the other two are very close to being past the SOL. So I. C. Systems can go suck an egg for all I care, not my fault they bought junk debt.

This number 202-367-9813 calls twice a day everyday. When I answerno one says a word and then the phone just disconnects.  The caller ID says IC System. I have no clue who this is. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. To me, this is harassment.

Got the same call.  Posted it over at stopcalling.net, maybe those guys can shut these guys down.

This is simply false. They have every right to _contact_ you. But if you tell them not to _call_ you, they are legally obligated to contact you some other way (i.e., by US mail).

Well if they want to get their money back then they should take what you are willing to pay until you pay them off. Not everyone can afford what they want. They should feel lucky that people are trying to pay them back instead of not paying them at all.

This phone keeps calling me and sits on phone

I get multiple calls on my personal cell phone asking for my father. Whomever these people are, they need to STOP calling me. I have no business with them and they have no business bothering me, consistently. They never reveal their identity (Company Name) and say they cannot discuss anything with me.

The jerk probably works for a bill collector.   Only an immoral idiot would have the attitude he/she does.   In this economy everyone understands.   Thank God, most people are not like that clod

755 complaints, 1 bad review, and still gets an A+ rating?  I notice that the one positive review was posted exactly 20 days after the negative one and it was by an anonymous poster.  I wonder if it took the company that long to find out there was a negative review?

Called this morning and I think they have been calling a lot.  I can't see caller ID without my glasses so picked up.  It was  c\obviously a call center with lots of caller noise in the background.  A man asked for me without pronouncing my name correctly and with a foreign accent.  I asked what is this in reference to? and he said, a business matter. I said, I'm not interested, please don't call again.  I will see if they call again.

Yes they do have a right to call, but not harass. If they are serious about collectiong money, they should be willing to accept an offer of any amount vs, getting no money at all. And surly leave a message.
