Just tell the guy you are screwing his mother (or father if a woman) and that will piss him off. But same scam..US treasury..I may be wrong, but I believe the Gov't would refer the case to a Marshall who would visit you personally.

I just got the same call. Scam. IRS will never call you they know whee you live and will send certified mail if your accused of any tax discrepancy.

Left recorded message that a federal magistrate blah blah blah and then cut off.  Total scam

I keep getting calls from different foreign men stating they are calling in regards to tax fraud. I have no knowledge of this and have made attempts to find out who it is and what exactly the charges are that have been brought up against me. The messages they leave are very jumbled and hard to understand. They called me once I had answered asking for my social security number when I refused to give it to them over the phone they got very mad at me stating I was an idiot and that they needed the number so they could look me up because there were other people with my name. Then when I refused again they hung up on me. I have got calls from 202-662-3000, 301-298-8083, 760-284-0200. I just don't see how I have committed any fraud against the government. When I filed my taxes I did it all correct through Turbo Tax. I have received no letters or any kind of documentation stating these  charges. Makes me a little nervous but also think it is a scam as well.

I got a computer generated voice mail from this number. It was threatening that I would be arrested for tax fraud. Really?

Female caller, said name, badge #, and phone #. Claimed I was fraudulent against U.S. Treasury with warrant issued if their not called in two hours. Obvious young college female attempting to sound official using commanding voice. Last week some guy called with same message. using voice over internet phone trough some business server. Phone number actually was house in CA in government house project. Caller ID showed name with number, If number isn't recognized let machine pickup call. Get to many solicitors failing to understand not interested and no money to donate.

Just got this call as well. Same case number and Warrent number. Then he started insulting me when he realized I was onto him.

Fake agent called and tried to scam me with some sort of IRS agent scheme.

Calls from Seattle, Florida, Denver, Maryland now DC all in one week saying same robot crap - leave Badge number and message about fraud and arrest warrant but our IRS doesn't CALL your home they will send you a letter certified. IRS.gov does have an area to submit a complaint about these guys and I do every time they call from a distance number

voice mail 7/11/15 a woman claiming to be from  some treasury dept   litigation,  told me I needed to call immediately before legal steps are taken. She  said to "CALL our number 925-202-0860" . BUT the number on caller ID is 202-662-3000, and a name of Kurth Andrews, which comes up in search as some corporate and litigation atty. located in Austin, Texas. So is this scammer USING this guys #  (which showed on my id) and does he KNOW about it  ?  OR is he PART of the scam? ? ? ?  Of course I will not call them. IDIOTS !

Just received the same call said it is "Dept of treasury". Tried calling back but only ringing.

All the information they have is public info. My family has almost been scammed by people like this before so you can believe me when I tell you, "I go-off on scam artists."
I wish I remembered the website where you could enter your number and it'll stop scam calls like this from coming through. It worked for about 5-7 years at my family home.

This guy tried to tell me I could avoid the whole legal situation by paying over the phone today. I could even set up a payment plan. Ugh!

When I receive calls like this I always tell them to transfer me to a friend of mine who works with the IRS.  They hang-up.

Very similar experience as most folks that have already posted.  BTW caller ID shows "Andrews Kurth", apparently a credible law firm with offices all over the US, lots in TX.

Answer the phone, there's a delay in voice transmission, probably indicates robo-calling.  Guy with heavy accent announces he's Danial from US Treasury, asks for me personally.   I feign that I'm not the person he's requested.  He pushes that it's a LEGAL matter. So I offer to take a message.  He gives me a call back phone number 903 781-1492.  I ask for a case # or reference #; he gives me "000425634892"  - BTW, you will find the same case # listed in someone else's report for this phone #.

When I asked where he was located, [which BTW is a very fair question if someone needs to know the time zone to call back]  He disconnects, hangs up abruptly.

they have lots of nerve and not to smart.    I never answer these calls .

Scam. Left a message on my cell vm, Treasury legal action, call back asap, police will be sent, 6 months in prison blah blah. Within the hour called again leaving message to call back asap, same threat. Same scam. Guy was Indian, heavy accent, hard to understand the message or the info he left. Of course, IRS and Treasury send certified letters. Reported it to the local police since they alert via local media when the scam is active as there are many elderly locally.

Keep calling me an eastern Indian about the IRS is looking for me about filing false income I don't work and have never filed anything I'm tired of these people harassing me please stop.

If it were somebody on here, they likely would, however, nobody on the site has any control over who's calling who on here. Give yourself a boost by not answering unknown numbers at all if you can. If you're somebody who's answering every call (manual or automatic), they and their cohorts will keep your phone ringing. You can drop the number of worthless calls if callers get nothing from you. If you've got to take the calls and get random ones with foreigners claiming to be from the IRS or tech support, hang up as soon as you notice an accent.
