"DEPT OF TREASUR"..? in caller ID.
Wow.  I *almost* picked up, but let it go to voice mail.  The message was garbled English, with at least two other voices audible in background.  Obviously a sweatshop call scam of some kind.

Got this call and knew it was a scam.  Told him so and he immediately called me a m-fer and a sleaze bag and just kept calling me names until I told him to get a real job and hung up on him.

Just received a call from this number 202-622-3000 with a young man (heavy accent) stating the same as above. He is with Dept of Treasury supposedly and they are taking legal action against me for tax evasion. I knew this was a scam because I file my taxes every year with a Certified CPA and dont owe the IRS anything.  Scammers!!! I think he is from ISIS because he mentioned he was with ISIS collecting money when I started calling him a scam!

Received a call today from 202-622-3000, and caller location shows up as Washington D.C. on my mobile phone.  Thick foreign (Indian maybe) accent by a male caller who I could not understand at all.  He claimed he was from the Department of Treasury.  I told him that there was no way he and I had anything to discuss and to not call me anymore

Just got a call from this number, shows Dept of Treasury. Stated problem with returns from 2008 and 2012, and money is owed. BOGUS!

This number called while I was outdoors. Four rings, and it stopped. Seeing as how IRS has already cashed my check for 2015 taxes and has accepted my returns for as far back as I can recall, and that's at least 50 years of tax returns, and also since IRS never calls, I knew it was a scam.

For anyone interested, IRS always communicates by way of postal mail. They don't call, they don't email. If you get a call claiming to be IRS or some other government organization like the Department of the Treasury, tell them to go to where the sun doesn't shine. Better yet, just don't answer. If you don't have caller ID, get it. Then, don't answer any calls you don't know. If everyone would do this, all those creeps would be out of business and we wouldn't get calls like this.

Just got a call from this number saying Treasury Dept has filed charges against me. Did they get this information from Hillary's unsecured email account?

Most of these calls are coming out of India and Pakistan. With all the breech's, including the IRS x 3, its anyone guess how much they have of what and where they got it.. But as a rule, they are just calling randomly and hoping you get scared to pay out!

Yah this guy with a heavy accent supposedly named Officer Mike William says hes from the legal affairs u. s. treasury . calling me to let me know there's been law enforcement action that as been started against me for tax evasion , he started to leave me a 301 call back number then said sorry call back 347 518 1890 and he was calling from 202 622 300 . I called back both numbers the 202 number said it was a non working or recently disconnected number for the Treasury Dept. ( OF WHAT BUSINESS?) and the 347 number is a really fast busy signal .. like all of the above this is a scam , and like they said YOU GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL !!!! They don't call !!! I mean REALLLLYYYY??????

This is the message my voicemail recorded and auto texted me I encourage everybody call these numbers back and show these [***] how Americans roll.... "This is officer platt(?) from the Department of treasury department. This is to inform you about an alloy enforcement act that has been started on your name to know more about this case you need to call at the department number is 347-518-1501. I repeat the number for you. It is 347-518-1501. If for any reason you're unable to call me back. I said that you have a Regina do I need to do it. ... Elaine calling us back you will end up getting into a legal mess. Once...."

Originally got a call from a Brooklyn NY # 347-518-1501. Left a vm stating they were calling from the law enforcement task decision of treasury department and I should return the call. 2nd time when they called I picked up and the man with Arab/Indian accent told me I owe $ to the treasury dept. I asked what's my name in the IRS file and he said my nick name and could not give me my legal name. I told him to take his scam elsewhere and hung up. One minute later he called back from 202-622-3000 started cursing. I told him to F off and hang up.

This clown called me with the usual threats. I told him he was a scam and hung up. He called back a minute later and I said, "If you call me again I will find you because I work for the telephone company and I will blow your brains out." He hung up.

Got a call he left message for me to call him back on.  347-518-1890 when I called him back I told him I knew he was a scam and I hung up.  Then he called right back from the 202 number and asked me how much I charged to suck [***]. Lol for sure this is a scam.

Said they were from the department of treasury,sending someone to arrest me for tax fraud.

Officer Johnson from the legal affairs dept of the US Treasury was calling about my imaginary legal affairs. The call came from (202) 622-3000 but the voice mail said to call back (347) 518-1890. Yeah, I don't think so.
