Threatened my life and made gun noises for extended period.

I just received a call with this number. It appeared on my caller I.D. as being the Treasury Department, so I answered it. A man told me that I better get a lawyer because I was going to be arrested for owing money to the government. I told him I thought he was lying. He told me he didn't care what I thought, I better get a lawyer and there was a warrant out for my arrest. I said I didn't care because he was a big, fat liar. Last thing he said was; "You better get a lawyer!" Then he hung up on me. About a month ago I had a call from the same area code with a woman telling me she was from my internet provider and the service had been infected by a virus. It was now going to attack my computer if I didn't follow her instructions. I hung up and called my internet provider; it turned out to be a scam. Be careful with any calls using area code 202.

Got the call today bad accent, worse phone line.  I told him the line was bad and he should call back.
So, he hasn't.  "Representing the Dept. of Treasury of the United States of America"

I just received a phone call from these people. They should be arrested for what they are doing. They asked me for money and told me to keep it confidential. I didn't fall for their scam but some people might. It is so sad the lengths of what people will do out there to scam decent people. They called from this number 202-622-3000 and said I owed 3,642.00. They used case number 000425634892 be careful people.

I was told that I owed the IRS money and that a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I have been disabled and haven't worked for years. He tried to con me out of 3000.00

Recieved a threatening call from an officer Edward Chambers advising that I owed 3188.00 to the IRS then transfered me to lt Robert Lucas  offered to take a small payment but that it easy private and that I couldn't share this information  with anyone . They said I would be going to jail for 6 months.

I answered and the extremely young stupid desperate scammer stumbled over his English but finally spit out US Treasury. I told him that scam is worn out so get a legal job. Love to play with them.

Just hung up with Department of Treasury impostor.  Claimed I was going to be arrested by US Marshall.  Told me I owed $3124.00 and if I did not pay I was going to jail.  I responded that I watch the news and was aware of the IRS scam going on these past few years and that I thought he was full of [***].  He said he was not from the IRS, he was from the Treasury Department and that this was a very serious manager. I told him to [***] off and he promptly hung up.

I got a call from an Indian dude, ID caller had him as department of treasury. He was asking for me saying something about how he had an arrest warrant for me. He was supposedly and officer. I told him that I'm not an idiot. Arrest warrants are served face to face. Not over the phone. And if he tried calling again, I would report him to the police. He hung up.

I just got a call from 202-622-3000. It was an Indian man claiming to be an officer and claimed I owe the IRS $3,600.00 And that I will be arrested in 2 days.  He then got "Simon Jackson" on the line (it was the same person) and I asked him what my SS# is and he stammered.
So then I laughed at him and he started yelling " suck my  _ _ _ _. " I hung up.

I got the same thing, I told him to bring it on lol!, Do you really think that the irs is gonna wait to tell you thatyou owe them?, They will send letters like crazy, I have never known the irs to call you so that's a load of sh#*

I received 2 calls from this number 2 days in a row, but refused to talk to them because the department of treasury will NEVER call. They must go through channels. If there is an issue they will send a letter through the mail. Always contact the agency to verify the call before taking any action. I blocked the call. Heavy Indian accent. On top of this the caller ID was Dept of Treasu. Scam

was threatened by the phone caller.He had a thick accent and it was a call bank where you can hear other people being threatened.He told me I was going to be arrested.. He said I hope you have a lawyer because your going to jail.....

My roommate just got a call from a man with a heavy accent.  He said he was an Federal agent and I, not my roommate owed lots of money.  My roommate gave him crap and he said "Is that how you talk to a Federal Agent", "I'm hanging up".  And he did.  He did say he will start legal proceedings against me.

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.  The IRS does not accept payment in Itunes Cards, Amazon gift cards, or any other type of payment other than cash, check, credit or debit card (from normal everyday citizens).

I too just received a call 202-266-3000 stating he was from the treasury Dept. I hung up and he called right back asking if I wanted the case # and that he would be issuing Warrant for my arrest .He even ready of my address.  I told him have at

Got call from 202-622-3000.  Didn't answer.  No message left.

Called me with an aditude asking for a family member since we didn't transfer the phone call got mad said he was from the state and that he had a werant from my family member he was sending cops to my home and arresting him for 6 months and clicked

I just received a call from 202-622-3000. Caller ID says Treasury Dept. heavy accent man told me that " You are violating Federal crime and must be resolved immediately. Do you have attorney?" And I said "I have few attorneys but for what?" Then he says "serious tax fraud and you will be arrested" since I use CPA so I said "I don't think so" then he hung up
