- Max| 1 replyHi Everyone,
I am so upset at the moment, my name is maxine bingham, my email is supermax20747@yahoo.com. I am so very sorry, i am not the one scamming you. I met a Sean Jimson Farrow on a website and had been corresponding with him. I told him he could use my email for his business to sell his art work he stated he was in London, UK and couldnt open a account. I became skeptical when i started getting emails about rentals and the last person that sent a email contacted me via phone about a rental i posted. I explained to them that i did not have a rental and that a friend of mine had been using my paypal account. They filed a dispute charge against me and when i confronted the person he told me to give the money back which i did. I have sinced closed my account once i found out that the number he gave me 206-339-0816 which is supposed to be his home number is a scam. I am so sorry about all this. He has also scammed me. - MaxThis is Maxine Bingham again. I have reported him to the FBI. If i had not come on this site I would not have known that he had been using my name and yahoo address to scam people. I wonder who else he has met on the dating site and has been scamming them. I reported him to the site as well. It is purely accidental that i found out he was a fake and a fraud when a package i sent to him came back to me and i confronted him via his email sjfarrow@44.com.
- maxe replies to Nicole in Eugene OregonJust to let you know the email address he gave me is sjfarrow44@yahoo.com. I feel so stupid. So PLEASE if someone contact you from this email address its a SCAM. He said he was an artist whom sold paintings. I tried to look him up using the address he gave me and the phone number that i found on here through various sites but when i did it gave me information for Seattle WA, with the name Sean J. Farrow. I even have pictures of this person it may not be his pictures he sent to me. So i am going to have to contact the FBI and have them further investigate whose pictures he is using so the person is aware. Yes, again i am so, so sorry and i did post that info on the military site in 09 i was looking for a former classmate at the time. I am so glad i finally found out that the number is a scam otherwise i would have sent more money to this person. Have anyone reported him to western union or moneygram to date?
- Christine Mullins replies to Just wondering| 1 replyThank you for the tip .I came across Dawn Morris on an ad (I believe it was Craigslist) for a very plush duplex at a very affordable price.I corresponded with her through e-mail and she replied within a few minutes.I decided to do research on a few more rentals before I decided on this particular rental in New York. You can imagine, to my surprise, when I came across the same rental through a different source with a different price range. I googled her name and came across your post. Wow what a disaster it would of been if my family and I would of committed to that contract.Thank you for the info on a reliable contact for rentals.
- Not a foolI was solicited yesterday for a rental beach property.
When he mentioned "western union" my hair went up.
I googled the name and found this place.
FYI I reported his email to HOTMAIL and they pulled his account.
Not much justice but I am sure I cost him some business and hardship - Fire Island NowFake rentals on 16 Compass Ave OCEAN BEACH , NY 11770 on NY craigslist.org

- Ami| 1 replySo I am also working with this/these people for an apartment in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I asked for a phone number and for "Kelly Woog" to confirm they were rental agents for this "Dr Lawrence Schollenberger from Allentown PA" I got excited because $100/night in MG is WAY to good to be true so I have emailed them back and forth several times requesting a full physical address, I redlined the Agreement to ensure my deposit would be returned and that I would in fact be renting this apartment. When "Kelly Woog" with a gmail e-mail didn't respond with anything other than send deposit to Western Union I thought better of it...Maybe I'll keep them going and see just how much information I can get without sending any money...meantime I wonder if I can call the police since I am not out anything?
- Caller: no call
- AmiThe ad I responded to: though I also have SEVERAL emails back and forth.

- HamptonsI AM THE REAL BRETT S. ROGOFF AND THIS GUY IS USING MY LICENSE AND NAME TO SCAM EVERYONE. Just called the FBI and they advised me that the FCC is handling these types of cases now and that we should also alert the Internet Crime Complaint Center - http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
- Dave KennedyCant believe it! I also had a weird feeling about this guy! I was minutes away from heading to Western Union to pay my $800 deposit for a venice beach holiday apartment and I had a weird feeling so I googled his name!!! Im shocked! Thanks guys for putting up this post! You just saved me a lot of cash!!!!!!!
Cheers
ps [***] you Lawrence Schollenberger!!! - Simone replies to DC guestI am so proud of my daughter and myself! We figured in out before the first email exchange. But when the email asking to preview the apartment, was ignored, it did not leave any doubts in our mind. I went further and contacted the owners of the 703 Bradley in Ocean City. They sure were surprised to hear that their address is used in a scam. Who ever these crooks are they keep changing their address and locations. I would not send money unless I or someone can meet the owners and see the rental.
Please deal directly with local Real Estate Agencies. It does not cost you any money and you will be sure that it is not a scam. Agents must list their company in all advertising and communications. This person impersonated an agent in his correspondence and did not have the required information.
Through a rental agency, I got a great rental in Dewey for a fair price and the dog can come along. - justonemoreWe posted an add on Craig's List and this number was used in a response. They wanted our address and everything, which was not needed. Thank you all for posting something and saving us a lot of trouble.
We became warry when the sender said they were from Arizona, but the english used in the email was extrememly poor. BE ON THE LOOKOUT!!! - kelly replies to AmiMy name is Kelly and this scammer has been using my id and posing as a real estate agent. I am NOT a real estate agent. He scammed me for $300. Please do NOT send this person any monies. He will ask you to send money via Western Union.
