I just received a call from this # & also +91 80660 55000 15 min after I received my confirmation email.  Contacted Amazon and notified them they have no clue who or how they would get info of my order.

i orderd an expensive item and i got a call a few minutes later..

Why does "Amazon Fraud Protection" have a seattle and an Indian number? makes no sense. they want to verify certain aspects of your account in order to scam you. They target people who make large orders because their large order will overshadow the fraudulent purchases.. It really is the perfect scam if you ask me. Using the fear of being scammed to scam other people.... stay safe folks

This number called twice shortly after an Amazon purchase and didn't leave a message.

Called a third time asking to confirm name and item purchased and last few numbers of card used.

Went through Amazon customer service asking for a phone call. Confirmed that Amazon DOES NOT CALL to confirm, they use other methods. Cancelled order, card, and changed password. Don't know how they got the info... The voice that called was Asian.

If as you say it was 100% Amazon, then why did you take the time to look up the number, and why are you replying to a post that is almost 1 year old?

I see a lot of conflicting answers so I would like to weigh in. I ignored the first two calls and answered the 3rd phone call, waking my ass up. The rep. with a heavy Indian accent lists a bunch of items that I did not order, I told her to please cancel the order. She says she will, apologizes, and says I'll receive a confirmation email. I check my online credit card statement and lord and behold there are two pending charges from amazon one for 1700 and for 1300 made two days ago. I'm pretty sure they're amazon, if not why the [***] would they give me a heads up?

Following this phone call, I googled the number and like many of you, i was super suspicious so I called amazon from their regular customer rep number, but the filipino dude had no idea what charges I was talking about and claims that the Seattle number is not them. It all sounds peculiar, but at the same time I also feel like their customer service reps from abroad are inept. It took a lot of back and forth with the filipino guy before he finally transferred me to the competent fradulent department's reps. Most likely, I feel like they arent aware of the other department. Either way, they didnt fish any information from me, but im 99.9% sure its amazon.

TLDR: gave me a heads up to fraudulent charges on my credit card. inept abroad amazon customer reps maybe potentially the reason for the false information about this number

I have dealt with Amazon for years, and have never, ever gotten anyone other than an American who answered the phone or called me back from customer service

I just got a call from that number..i asked him to Verdi my info including my card number and he did..now if they were a scamer they wouldn't need to call me to Verdi cause they had my info already.he never asked me for any info..

Yes they are maybe some aren't cause they can use working numbers to make calls from. Without the person or company knowing..but I called 6 times and every time Amazlon answered..even got the option menu. You just have to listen and ask them to Verdi your info not you..

We have here another person that had nothing better to do than to look up a number they claim they knew everything about, and then come here to post about how legitimate it is.

I ordered 406.00 worth of product from amazon yesterday and got a call from this number.  I hung up on her right away!!

I got a call today after ordering 406.00 off of amazon yesterday and thought it was weird they were calling to verify ID.
I've never had this happen as I have ordered tons in the past!!

They asked me to verify that I had made a purchase for 2 coats (which I had) with last 4 digits of my credit card.  They claimed to be from Amazon.  He was a foreign accented man.  Thing is I don't use my home number only  my cell and the call came to my home.  Is this a fraudulent call?

So after that is there anything else happened to your order or to you? Cause I reviewed that call just now,and I was also asked the same question, it's really weird!!!🙀

My phone blocked a call from this number after iade an Amazon purchase. Should I be worried?
