Called claiming to be Amazon Customer Service, Was digging for information, blocked.

Received call at 1:30 AM!  It was 1:30 AM!  CID showed Amazon Cust Svc. Loud music played when the answering machine kicked in.

Just received a call from this number. Woman with E Indian accent said she was from Amazon checking on delivery of the speakers she said I ordered. I didn't order any speakers. I told her that & hung up. Sounds like somebody's phishing for credit card numbers. Don't think it's wise to give them any credit info for products or refunds.

Customer service number for Amazon.....the person I talked to said they were located in the Caribbean

Located in the Caribbean?  Obviously a foreign crook.  Obviously not a legitimate number.  Where are you located?  Let me guess, in the Caribbean?

I'm confused. You initiated this call, allegedly from Amazon, so you know who it is! Yet you looked up the number?! Why would you need to do that?

This clearly has to be a scam. It says they are  reimbursing me for something that I never ordered. When I called Amazon they said they have no record of that phone call being made. I was told that they keep a record of all phone calls made to customers.

*Claims* to be  calling from Amazon, however, I didn't initiate a customer service request, and they called nine times in five minutes before leaving a message that did NOT address me by name. So, no. totally a phishing call.

It is NOW a GOOD number used by Amazon Customer Service

I was a callback from Amazon Customer Service I requested.  Spoofers may hide their ID by using Amazon's ID.  If you did not initiate a callback, it may be a scam, but if you did equest a call back, it is probably legitimate.

This number called 16 times between 6:00 am to 8:27 am.  It is a scam.  They say they are from amazon.  They are not.  Blocked call on my phone.  They still got thru to voicemail. Call up your phone company & get this number blocked.  Call up amazon from their website, & ask them to block them.

Amazon would need to block them. Did you mean that Amazon should block them for you? How would they do that?
