Got a call saying it was Amazon . I told the girl WHY would Amazon call me has they never do . GIRL started to stutter and then hang up and never call back . AMAZON does not call clients unless you call them and they will contact you via email .

The lady said she was with Amazon.. It is a phone number for Amazon but the company making the call is spoofing the number to try an appear like they are from Amazon. Confusing yes but be careful and if you did not initiate a call to Amazon, more than likely, it is the spammer scammers. I asked her if she was with Amazon or a third party. She said third party. I asked what the name of her company was and she said Premier Marketing ( I think she lied to me on that one). I told her that I had asked before to be removed from the calling list.

I just received a call also and a hang up.

Well that would be proof positive this is not Amazon calling. Why would they simply hang up and not leave a message of some sort?

Got a call from this number, guy asked me if I was interested in an "Amazon franchise that I could purchase today only for ..." Call was dropped and when I called back (twice) I was connected toan outsourced Amazon customer service call center, one in the Caribbean, one in India. Both directed me to Amazons 888 # and I was told that this number is no way connected with Amazon.

i was on the phone with Amazon trying to get a problem resolved, and while i was waiting for the personnel to answer my question, i got a call from this number. why would Amazon be calling me back, if i'm on the phone with them? i couldn't answer them, i was on the phone already.

No, these are scammers pretending to be Amazon and anyone on here saying the call is really Amazon is lying to get you to pick up.

2 calls today 5 min. apart. I didn't answer. They left no msg. I don't know anyone in WA state. If someone doesn't lv a msg., it's because they know you won't call back.

This was a callback from Amazon to give me a code to confirm my identity.

Called at 1:44 in the morning, my phone is on “silent” at night so I didn’t notice it til the next morning.  Caller ID said Amazon.

This numver may be spoofed by some low-lifes, but it is a call-back number from Amazon.  I requested the call for an order problem.  If you deal with Amazon, it may be a legitimate call.  Did you make a request to Amazon?  No.  Then don't answer.
