Problem is they keep using out of service phone numbers so some one has to keep adding the numbers to the phone. Easier to not answer the phone.

Another call from these low life scum telemarketers. The pricks keep calling and the do not call registry is a joke. Thank you FTC and FCC for nothing!

Caller ID "NEW YORK NY" ... MAY 27@2:28pm EDT… I do not answer calls I don't know. They did not leave a message. 800notes indicate this is a SCAMMER!

Call blocker is your best bet.

Received a call this afternoon from this number which I did not recognize or answer. There was a message regarding something about a Medic Alert item ,that is ready to be sent out along with some other stuff!!

Rec'd call from this number today; caller ID said "NEW YORK" as caller name.  Did not answer & they did not leave a message.  I am SO tired of these calls!!!

Annoyed, It's fine that you submitted a complaint to the DNC list folks....but don't hold your breath waiting for some action
to be taken against these scammers.   Better to block the number with some of the devices mentioned in comments
earlier on these pages.

Recorded sales call, Calls me once or twice a day. ANNOYING!!!!! & TIRED OF IT!!  When you try to call number  back, you get an out of service message.

Mom used to warn me about scammers.

Depending on your telephone provider you can log into your acct and then can add them to a blocked caller list.Contact your telephone company and ask if that is available for you.

I used nomorobo.  this svc links your phone to any robot calls so it rings once and disconnects this 212-662-1393 call.  It has blocked 4 robot calls today!  (Charities are immune from abiding by the Nat'l Do Not Call list.)

Well I see a big difference with DNC

It means DO NOW CALL


We got it and get all sorts of calls and more and my cousin didn't and hasn't gotten one bad call/spam and more.



Big mistake getting on DNC

Yep, I got the call today.  The guy said "this call is not a scam".  I did not believe him and unloaded on him as he refused
to tell me who gave him my number.  I am over 65.

Calling CA. at 7 AM. No message, cannot call the # back.

Called at 7:00 AM Sat morning.  Tried to call back but said that number is not in service.

It is obvious you neither understand the DNC list or the world in general.

The DNC list is, in general, working as designed. Valid companies are no longer calling you if you are on the DNC list. Unfortunately, the DNC list was envisioned to stop ALL calls, including political, non-profit (real or not), or surveys (real or not). The "holes" in the DNC list, including lack of enforcement and funds, are the result of the 108th Republican dominated Congress and George Bush who built the "holes" in and under-funded enforcement.

Scammers will violate the DNC list because, ...well, they're scammers and do not obey the law.

Want to stop the calls? Elect Representatives and Senators who are in favor of regulating businesses that, obviously require regulation, including phone carriers who supply the lines to scam telemarketers.

If you voted for, and continue to vote for, "business friendly" congresspersons then you deserve to receive these calls.

Since it has been determined that the Caller ID is spoofed, there is absolutely no reason to presume the call came from New York (212 area code), much less a "carpetbagger".

Considering independent research by "concerned citizens" and actions taken by the FTC, it appears that the majority of telemarketers originating these calls are from southern "red states", and AZ in particular.

Historically, these states have the lowest education standards and highest levels of "low education" citizens.
