Just called and I did not answer. They hang up w/out leaving a message

Rec'd call 5:57pm EST. New York call. I don't know anyone in NY. Didn't answer, no msg. left. Told hubby not answer, didn't. He wants to talk. I am so sick of these calls all day/night. I have read the posts & am going to buy me a call blocker device if can find what you have mentioned on this site. I have Panasonic phones but can only block 30 #. Just blocked this one. I am a senior citizen & if this is medical alert I will call when I need one.

Just posted myself. Didn't see your post. LOVE IT!!! I totally agree. I live in the boondocks of Virginia. People think my driveway is a road.

It is required by law, if you ask them to stop calling, they must do so - it is only the CRIMINALS that continue to Call, therefore, it is all our best interests, to report them all of them.  the fact alone, that they are using, a spoofing, phone number through a spoofing, proves they are Criminals, and skirting the LAW.  I have talked with these [***], and the assured me they would STOP, and they have not. Some of their [***], laugh at you and say they call again and their is nothing I can do about it.  REPORT< REPORT< REPORT THEM!!! do not listen mtmt trying to sell a service, if you want to use it please do, but do not complain if you are not willing to take a pro-active approach to stopping TRASH like this

This company has been calling me and annoying me. They are fancy telemarketers and we are on the do not call list so they need to drop off the face of the earth really fast

they only let you add certain carriers :(

This cockroach caller from New York was the very first victim of my new Sentry Call Blocker.  Number shows in Caller ID, but phone DOES NOT RING.  Thus I can dispose of this nuisance at my convenience, and not interrupt my daily routine.  My device cost $39.  I won't recommend a supplier, since I am not in the business, but readers of this site will know where to look if they're interested.  Displayed the word URGENT, but may also alias as NEW YORK, UNKNOWN CALLER, you know what they try.

Just received a call from this number; however, just as with all the other anonymous calls we receive, we didn't answer.

Got call 6-19-14 selling medical alert @3:22 PM,  A male who spoke English.
Next Get call from 212-305-1561 6-19-14 @3:51PM This time a Female who claims they
are trying to get Grand Central Station. Both spoke English Well.
The 2nd number was from Columbia University Anthropology Dept.

Both calls are related never get calls from this area code before.

The 2nd call from the female was attempting to verify contact information. This means she has a nexus to the Robo Dialier they are using. That 2nd number is 212-305-1561 Columbia University Anthropology Dept.  Office of Program Coordinator.  Hence the Scam may come from Columbia University using their systems used in research (Robo Dialers). The Female who called from the 2nd number of the Columbia Program Coordinator office is playing a role in this scam to adjust details for the Robo Dialer!!

They keep calling and calling not interested

Call received on 6/20/14 at 10:10 a.m. (Central) Caller ID:  NEW YORK    This call was intercepted by my Sentry Call Blocker and subsequently blocked.  

Another scam call and when we answer the phone they don't answer.

We no longer answer the phone when this number shows on  Caller ID

What  I have been doing  for any of these wackos is using my selective call forwarding I have and forward these calls to  a politicians phone number or another telemarketer's number.  I don't  receive the call and eventually I don't see it pop up on my missed calls log which shows who called.

Any caller ID that just has the city and country I don't answer.
So when I saw this caller ID: "New York, NY" I don't answer.
These cowards can't even put their real names on the phone registry.

That should be a law to have a company name when you register your phone - my REAL name shows up when I call from my cellphone, why can't the rest of the world be held to the same standards?

And any time I get phone rings and no message on the machine, that is an automatic "prank call" classification. That is also considered phone harassment. There *IS* a law against that.
