I do not want calls from this number.

I have 4 calls in 4 hours wtf all from new york on it stop calling texas puss nuts

This number 212-662-1393, called my house at 9:45 pm at night. I was already asleep after a long day. They hung up after the answering machine came one. This is the second call today from this number

Called 6-13 7 @6:55 am 6-14-2014. Left no message. I'm blocking

called at 7;45 am wouldn t say a word. so I hung up. have kin in new York  that's why I answered. who calls that early.

Called I did not answer-no message -  somehow this has got to stop

212-662-1393.  I didn't  answer. I called back, recording says your call cannot be completed

This idiot called during the day and said that a medical professional had recommended me for a medical alert. I demanded to know "Which medical professional had given him my name?"  He was defensive and finally hung up on me. He must have retained my phone number, because he called again just after midnight waking me out of a sound sleep.  So, don't talk to these people, just hang up and best of all, get a call blocker like several have recommended.  I won't debate with any more of these scum bags in the future. Lesson learned.  

Who is this scam that calls at 1AM, and wont answer?  Can Verison shut them down?

If these morons are calling from NYC, how do they expect to respond to a "medic alert" in the Okefenoke Swamp where I live? Are they gonna send me an alligator EMT or maybe a feral hog?  Heck, even the sheriff's deputies have to stop here and ask directions

The only way to "block" these calls is with a call blocker.  I bought
a Panasonic call blocker for exactly this reason.  Being on the
national do-not-call list (DNC List) does *NOT* stop scammers.
The only people who abide by that list are legitimate merchants
who choose to do so.  Scammers ignore the DNC list -- or don't
even look at it to begin with!  I hate these telemarketers, too, and
I bought the call-blocker -- it has made a WORLD of difference!

Got a call just a little while ago form the above New York number. When I went to answer it, it hung up. Lots of these companies OR whoever they are just are so bothersome when they don't even answer when you pick up the phone. The last several months are crazy with these type of calls. and I don't know anyone in New York City either. How would they know  when they call that anyone is a senior?

I purchased the same phone, but brought it from HSN.com for $89.00. Works great for blocking!

I receive a call from 212-662-1393 several times a week.  They want me to buy some sort of medical alarm.  I have asked several times for them to remove me from their list but, continue to receive the calls.  I have them blocked but, apparently, they use various numbers.

Any models w more than 250?  I'm NOT kidding.  Hubby's family had this number for over 40 years- no Seniors here in a very long time....these calls are all we get.

If people who have posted here have not figured out it is that more likely this number is spoofed, and it is scammers calling you.

Caller ID comes up: "New York."  Don't know WHO this is.

Yes, the Florida attorney general shut down one of those medical alert for seniors group a few years ago.    But others just keep springing up.

I'm in my 70s and I get those about three or four times a year.  I think they are calling from the Caribbean, but might well be in the continental US.
