- Buster replies to LeeinDeGoogle voice blocked this one automatically for me. Thanks Google. Set your phone to ring in two places at the same time, one being your Google number. You're phone service may not have this feature.
- John MatneyI do not want any more calls from this number.
- Uncle Al replies to D.T.I have the Panasonic KX-TGA641 & it only blocks about 25 numbers before you must erase some to make room for new ones. Blocked numbers is a function of memory & as cheap as it has become over the years, your 250 numbers is VERY realistic. Next time I need a phone, I guess I will also be upgrading.
I've posted about the Panasonic several times, but yours is obviously a superior model! May I post about your model number in the future? I like to give folks the Best solution for the money. - Uncel Al replies to plujakPlujak??? DO you live or did you live in the Alton, Illinois, area? NOT a common nickname to be sure, and I once knew a Plujak who bowled a bit.
- bchbum122 replies to samiThese people don't give a rats a$$ if you are on the do not call list...if they did they wouldn't be calling. If you answer then your number goes on a list as active and the list is then sold to companies wanting to get your info to scam you or legit companies to try to sell you something. All incoming calls to my phone are displayed on out tv screen, if we don't recognize the number we don't answer. They will soon recognize it as an out of service number because you never answer.

- Bub17| 2 repliesThe last few months these medic alert scams have been coming from NYC area codes as well as Long Island and upstate New York. But most have been from California. Oakland to be more precise. Many are probably spoofed numbers so you don't know where they originated. My Oakland calls appear to have originated from Peru.
The bottom line is we don't answer callers we don't know. That keeps us safe. Friends and family call our cells. Let the telemarketers waste their time on the landline. We only keep it to get the triple play. Half the times it's unplugged so we're not bother by the never ending ringing scams.- Caller: Medical alert

- Pi$$ed! replies to Bub17| 1 replyUnfortunately, here is how it works: You have a hospital stay, or home health care event, or even a doctor visit. The provider opens your patient record on an infected computer, and BOOM! Here comes the calls!
- Bub17 replies to Pi$$ed!More likely the scammers have gone through the White Pages which lists names with age ranges. Anyone listed 65+ is targeted for medic alerts, walk-in tubs, diabetics supplies, etc. because this age group is more prone to needing or using these services. Some in this group are also more trusting or less able to make appropriate choices.
It's unfortunate that these dirtbags target the most vulnerable. - John replies to jlgThe ONLY purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammers's calls to us is, to get our credit card numbers, so they can cheat us!
- JFHThis number belongs to telemarketer for senior Medical Alert.
I pressed one (as if interested in ordering) gave only my telephone number and requested sales agent "JUAN" to remove the it from their call list. He said a physician had referred the number plus I had been prequalified. I then told "JUAN" his offered was wonderful and to please call my friends @ 212-662-1393 and share my good fortune with them.- Caller: Medical Alert

- NathanI just got this call at 1:37 am! This is insane to be woken up by a robo caller trying to scam seniors.
- Veronica G.It's calls like this that make me want to get rid of my home phone! Seriously they called at 2:30 AM to try to sell me life insurance, I'm 25 years old what kinda company thinks calling a 25 year old at 2:30AM waking them up because they think it could be an emergency and then has a COMPUTER voice try to sell them life insurance! Seriously what bright marketing firm thought that ANYONE would actually answer and decide to sign up! I tried to call back to let them know what fools they were but the number was "not in service"! Now I can't go back to sleep and I have to get up in 3 hours! This company should be fined and banned from telemarketing all together!

- paladin replies to D.T.I have the same system and it works great. I too receive way too many scam calls. I average about 8-10 per day. With this system I never even know they have called. I think I have about 65 blocked numbers and the list keeps growing. It is well worth the $90 I paid for it.
- NickI received a pre-recorded message for a free medical alert system. But I don't believe it because nothing is free; packaging cost money and fuel cost money.
