Would like for these calls to stop!!!!! Is the do-not-call registry not doing its job????

Rude harrassing calls from 213-330-0187. I am going to block this number!

So what's the point of this comment page if NO ONE is going to do anything about it? Guess it's JUST a sound board???? Pfffff!!! Yes! It's obvious, I get them too and lately it's about to send me in the asylum - SO SICK OF IT!!!!! Geez! Must be Mothman Prophecies or Aliens on the other end checking to see if there's life forms living on this planet??? Who knows? Wierd!

We get up to 7-10 calls a day from this number. We let it go to the answering machine every time. It's hugely irritating.

I think that people registered as a charity can bypass the Do Not Call Registry. Maybe this number is registered (falsely) as a charity? We get LOADS of calls a day from charities, political fundraisers, etc. It stinks.

Got a call from this number did not answere, machine did caller hung up the instant it picked up. Call originated from Los Angeles CA according to ID. Do not give out personel info to anyone over the phone even if they sound ligit. I purchased a Digitone Call Blocking device and it automatically blocks out of area and number unavailable calls and dialing machines it tells them it is not a good number they have called. To block a number you just add it to a blocked list and they will not be able to call you again from that number. It works thru caller id from phone company so you have to purchase caller id for it to work, but at least you can sleep when you work on night shift and sleep during the day.

I have received several calls from this number, I have answered it twice and both times they have Identified themselves as the National Diabetes Association.  I have asked them not to call and to take my number out of their phone bank, but they still keep calling.

Apparently this number is for hire. This was a hurricane Irene related public service announcements from Warren Township, NJ. The previous message from them came in as 555-555-5555.

Received call from this number.   Person identified themselves as Kendra Mills.   Very thick accent.  Mexican, or Indian.  Would not identify themselves as to what they did.  Reverse lookup states land line from east LA.   MCI Worldcom (are they still around?).  If they are around, with all these complaints, why is this phone line stuff working?

Fortunately, have a phone service and blocked them to kingdom come...

This number shows on my caller ID every time my daughter (in Idaho) calls me. Neither one of us can figure out why. I called the number and a recording stated that it was no longer in service...

Recieved call from this number at work (hospital).  Called an old number of mine (someone else sits at that desk now) and asked for me by name.  She put the call through to me and the woman said she would help me get to the web page to complete information for a loan that I applied for.  Told her I did not apply for a loan and hung up.  A few minutes later, another call from same number.  Said her name was Jennifer Williams and she was returning a call to me.  When my co-worker said I wasn't available Jennifer said she would try my cell.  Who are these people?????

This call turned out to be from my sister, who lives in New York State, not California.  We have no idea why her number displays this way.

My grandfather received a call from man stating he was my brother in law and that he was in jail in Mexico and needed $2700 wired through Western Union to be released.   My grandfather called my brother in law to confirm he was not, in fact, in Mexico. The caller phoned back to see if the money had been wired and my grandfather said that it had not and to stop calling.

The second time the caller phoned from a Canada number 517-224-5348

This number called our home phone. I said hello multiple times but there was dead silence. Then 15 minutes later the same number called and a man ask for me by name. First name only. Since I suspected it was a scam, I never said my name out loud. All I said was do not call, I'm a police officer and will trace your call! The man's voice hung up immediately! Do not repeat your name for this gentleman or woman That calls asking for you by name. They are trying to record voice information to use In of fraudulent manner. They also try to get any financial information from you so they can "help" you and your finances! DO NOT GIVE ANY CC or BANKING INFO OUT! They already have your phone number and address & If they are calling your cell phone then they can also access your financial information stored on your phone through a virus! If you try calling the number back it will not let you through! However they have just Gotten confirmation that your number is active number & If it is a cell they are calling for you are calling them from you now perhaps have a virus! Report this information and call to your local police immediately! Ask for the local fraud department! I hope this information helps someone before they have already been scammed or have a virus. Just remember never give bank or credit card information to anyone over the phone, Especially your cell phone after a call like this has occurred, Because you do not know if you have a virus or are at risk?! Also make sure your cellphone is properly secured with anti virus software! Run a full scan if this happens. The virus that will show up is called "zappo.executive"!

my mother got a call from this # they mentioned medicare(she is 87) and something about saving her twenty per cent.  then proceeded to mention the name of her bank then she gave them her acct # and her ssi #   OMG , then the guy with an accent ascked her if she minded being taped or a recording anyway she then hung up, next called her bank to change acct # notified att gen office, SSI office and equifax, this is some kind of identitiy theft I fear.  she got caught totally off guard

someone from this number called to say they were collecting money for firefighters.
