It was a call from "Card Service" recorded message. When I pressed 1 for an operator and to get off their list a very rude female asked me for credit card information so she could lower my rates. When I told her that I wanted off the list she said "well you can just go and report me. They won't do anything."

I believe this is a phishing scam designed to get credit card information.

received a call from this number and when i tried to return the call, received a recorded message saying the mailbox for this number is full to try again later.

This number has called a couple of times to my cell phone including at 12:44 today (4/3).  I didn't pick up the first time they called (about a week ago) and they didn't leave a message.  I let it ring today to see if they would leave a message and they didn't.  Thank you for this service as I now know it is not worth my time to answer.

I received a call from this number regarding lowering my credit card interest rate to as low as 6.00%.  I have received numerous calls from different numbers with the exact message.  I am on the do not call registry, so how are they still doing this?  I have registered a FCC complaint with the one number that called the most.  This is ridiculous!!  They are using my minutes for calls that I don't want and can't stop!

These calls all seem to be from the same one or two "businesses"?, if you can call them that and they seem to change phone numbers as fast as they can be blocked. I think that phone companies have too many numbers available and are willing to "rent" these numbers for income and activation fees. I think that the government could stop these by charging a fee for any number not held for, say 90 days, and make it more expensive for them to operate by changing numbers frequently. This might hit a small number of people who have a legitimate reason to cancell but would protect the vast majority.

Recieved a call from the number 216-744-4009, it was an automated number telling me my intrest rates on my credit card are going up and if i would like to speak to a rep about it to press one.  I pressed one and a man by the name of Craig answered the phone and when i started speaking they hung up.  i called the number back and got Craigs voice mail.

I got this message at 12:07 today.  I would like to call Craig to leave him a msg if he would like to lower his credit card rate but all I get is his full mail box.  I have receive this call at home and on my cell phones.  All are on the DNC list.

I keep getting calls on my cell from 216-744-4009 (and also from lots of other numbers). I too have my cell phone and home phone on the Do Not Call List but being registered on that list doesn't seem to do much good if at all.
It would be great if it was possible to do reverse look-up and get the physical address of these individuals or companies (like you can with white and yellow page reverse look-up). Then we could send registered letters to the address and request that they no longer make calls to our phones instead of them just hanging up on us. I don't know why some numbers can be researched down to a street address while these nuisance calls cannot. -CW

Got a call from 216-744-4009. Did not answer it, as i suspected it was probably a junk call. Called the number back later (from a phone with unlimited free long distance within the U.S.), and hear a message saying that the mailbox for "Craig" was full and could not take any messages. This was confirmation for me that the call was a junk call.

I have been called by this number 3 times on my cell phone.

I have a less than honorable boyfriend whom I am convinced was him by an accidental 'butt' dial and the caller I'd said it was Craig! Many 'throw  away phones used by cheating husbands and drug dealers use them so that their phone calls are not traceable.  That's the beauty of it .  They're cheap and easily disposable.  No traceable bill withering think.  Karma is a [***]  ain't it?  A shrewd lawyer' daughter. Papa taught me well!

Just got a text message from 216-744-0185 that said "Hash anyone?" I obviously don't know this number. I am assuming they want to see if I respond so they will be able to determine if this is a working number? Then maybe they will start trying to solicit to me about Card Member Services? Has anyone else received a call or text from this number?
