I am phoned twice or three times a week by this number.

This number called claiming to be doing a survey for the US Gov. The survey was very lengthy about the Military. The survey questions lasted for over 30 minutes, and seemed to be on the up & up until the end when I was asked for my street address and zip + 4.

Received repeated calls claiming to be performing a survey on behalf of the Department of Education.  Calls persisted despite requests otherwise.

Someone calls from this number like 6-7 times a day and the last is usually by 9-10pm.  I wish they would stop because it is annoying and is interferring with my personal life!

Call me at least twice a week. I have told them twice to not call back.  They insist it's for a "survey"

repeat almost several times a day, ask to please quit calling. caller said is for education survey.

Must have gotten at least 15 calls from this number.I will not answer calls from any number I do not know. They never leave a message. How do you stop the calls? Who do you report them to??

They call saying it is a suvey for the military.  Please ask them to stop calling.

Westat is a Contract Research Organization (Employee Owned) based in Washington DC
They were doing calls for Match.con at one point.

they are a survey firm, employee-owned (co-op) that often does contract work for the federal government and various universities, public and private, sometimes private clients too. they do a LOT of different surveys. just got a call from them doing one for the Univ of California.

As government contractors they are not required to abide by the fed DNC list however they CLAIM that they honor their own if people ask not to be called, although other reports here say that may not be the case

I got called by them after doing a DEM survey at the beach. The govt is doing this study all summer.

Claim to be calling from the University of California
doing a "scientific" study about the health of people in California.

"We're not asking for money. We will call you back in the next few days."

How do I get them to stop?

They call and call, it was for a survey and I told them not to call back, but they do and I just don't answer....UGH!

I told them not to call, I do not answer the phone or I pick up and hang up...........they just dont get it... UGH UGH UGH

This number is for follow interview being conducted by EPA (beach study in my case).
I had done a survey at a local beach and they told me that i would be getting a call for a follow up interview in a few days.

I have a feeling most people here did survey's or signed up to get free gifts for something or other and forgot about the follow up call, or that they did infact give them their numbers. In any case, hope this helps.

Cheers.

"WESTAT RESEARCH" is a marketing company for the MOB in Las Vegas. Don't give them any information in their phony surveys.  Don't be stupid.  Do you really know who you are talking to?  They use FAKE CALLER I.D.

I know a criminal in Las Vegas who uses all the digital scams there are to make a living.  This is one of them.  Phone hacking, computer hacking, bank account hacking and invasion of privacy, ... and just for good measure - terrorizing with the information gained.

I also think all these numbers are made available to scammers to use for whatever purpose they need.  Even some of these BLOGS may be phonies.  If someone knows how this works, let us all know.  I've figured out most of it, but not all of it.

"Survey for University of California"
Asked to be put on Do Not Call list and they would not take no for an answer, "This is important research that may benefit people in your area."

Originally called and left a message that they were conducting research on behalf of the University of California.  Have been subsequently deluged with calls and messages, most often wasting two minutes of my time listening to dopey elevator music.

Call both home and work. Home number is unlisted. Say they are from UCLA and are conducting a survey. Always call after 8pm at home. Have told them I'm not interested.  If I see the number, pick up and don't say anything, they don't say anything and hang up.

repeal the 8th amendment!
