I recieved a call today form AIL in troy, mi. they found my resume on career builders.com. they wanted to interview me. i told them i was just hired somewhere else... so i wanted to find out who they were to see if i possibly passed up a better offer.. looks like i didnt but they called me from 2486877790.

Personally, I checked out AIL last week, made it through all 3 interviews, and found it to be a very professional. Yes, I even met Beverly a beautiful down to earth person, and was offered a position.

AIL is not a perfect company, It's a life insurance company, who services various union members. It's straight commission with quite a few perks. Everybody can't live off of commission only (mainly out of fear of the what ifs... what if I don't sell anything this week ... I can't eat, can't pay my car note, my mortgage, my cell phone, my daughter's tuition ... and the list goes on. I however, have managed to make a GOOD living on commission only positions all of my working life, over 25 years.

Now with AIL I liked what I saw and heard, except for the first 90-day of "Boot camp" working 2Pm - 9:00 pm 6 days a week and all the drive time involved in getting to the union members' homes. After the 90-days, you can set your own schedule. The Leads are FREE, comming from the union members who return a yellow response card. It's an honest open door for those who want it. AGAIN, It's NOT for everybody! Any you shouldn't feel badly if that's not your thing.

I received a call today.  Glad I looked them up before I called back.  I have my resume on Monster and that's where they got my number.  There's not much to be found on their company via the internet other than these posts, but I'm glad I looked.  Needless to say, i will not be returning that phone call.  Thanks for everyone's input!  Saved me some trouble.

Hello.  I saw your post about this company.  Did you go to the interview and was it legit?  I received a call from a different woman about an opening in Flushing and then found all of these negative posts.

I received a voice mail yesterday from Kelly Irwin and she stated that she pulled my resume from Monster.com and wanted to talk to me about a position in her companies Troy office.  I'm glad I checked the phone number on Google and saw all the notes above and not waste my time.  Another number to watch for is 248-679-7790 which is what appears on caller I.D. from Northville,MI.

I received an email saying they got my resume from monster.com but my number did not load properly. I had to call between the hours of 11am -1pm. I spoke with a Patrick who wouldn't go into detail on what the position I was applying for but to make sure I bring my resume and references.I couln't find anything on AIL so I google the phone number and I'm so happy others have put their suspicions on here. Times are so hard and to have someone waste your time really bites!!

I got THE call today.....Sarah Orlowski is the name now.  She sounded way, way too perky so I was on high alert and before returning the call I did a reverse look up and found this page.  Not going to call them and if they call here again I will file a complaint with State of Michigan.

This is the email I received today from this company and as I mentioned in my prior complaint I'm not going to waste my time and perhaps will save others from wasting their time.  I've never been in sales and my resume doesn't allude to that.

Got the same e-mail from them. They mentioned me as a Regional Manger, and that they got my resume via Monster (I did not provide my phone number with Monster). Now, I know this is suspicious, because I am definately not Regional Manager material, nor have I ever expressed any interest in a job this high up. So, I would bet it is a scam too. Thanks to all for helping with this decision.

I received this email msg below today and like always, I will check out any company that I'm not familiar with starting with google and BBB.org  Even more suspicious was when I tried to reply to the email requesting company's legal name and website, my norton virus sent an alert implying the address was either spam or bogus.  When I called, the contact was never available and immediately went to voice mail.

I received the same message from them today.  Thank you for the heads up!

OMG!!  Your message is almost identical to the message I received today.  What's the fricking purpose???

I recieved a message today from a shawn with this number... (248)687-7790! Shawn said he found my resume on line at hotjobs.com. He would like to ask me some questions and to give him a call back at (248)283-5388 ext.145. When I looked up "AIL" up there was nothing, so I googled it and came up with American Income Life in Grand Rapids, which shawn said the job was in the city of Grand Rapids...Moreover very different phone number and there is no website for them, I am saving myself the time and not calling back!???LD
