Theres something really disturbing about your rant.....Alll sweetwater is trying to do here is engage the customer......its called customer service....theirs no hard sell, just a desire to connect with their customer base....in the end, its the only way that they can get your business without giving away the store.   On the net , price is the only consideration-which spells death the bricks and mortar retailers....Sweetwater is trying to give you a reason to shop there....I really have enjoyed my interactions with Phil, he has also given me some awesome free stuff and DISCOUNTS that are just not available to the general public. Some customers simply want to be left alone...............

I just placed an order with Sweetwater and got this call, as well as a follow up email. Thought maybe it was a problem with my order, but it was just Tom Maxwell calling to "say hey" and introduce himself. Not quite what I was expecting, nice touch though on the customer service front.

Agreed, I order from them from time to time and they call to follow up. Once we conclude followup discussions, they do not call back. I would not worry about Sweetwater, they are a legit company...

It is definitely Sweetwater, a music equipment catalog.  Great company. I placed an order for a gift for my husband and within 5 minutes they called me.  I didn't recognize the phone number so let it roll to VM.  It was an employee telling me my order had been received, that it would ship on Tuesday, and thanked me for my business.  I also know from my husband's experience that they will call on occasion to make sure you are satisfied with your last order. Customer service doesn't get any better than that.  If they call you and you've never done business with them, it's simply a mistake in the phone number.  They are definitely not telemarketers.  Their business is pretty niche and mass calling people wouldn't serve much purpose.

To the people who are complaining about the phone calls...how about just saying "Hey, thanks for the phone call but I would really appreciate it if you put me on your "No Call List". Hope you have a great day!"?? Is it that hard. It would take 10 seconds. Geez.

You are correct. I just bought another item with their 3 month payment plan and my sales person always calls to say thanks and that my order will ship today. Very Pro guys! No I don't work for them, but buy a lot of stuff from them. I am not rich so I have to use the payment plan.

I bought ONE wireless mic from Sweetwater seven years ago.  While I was pleased with the product, the price, and the speed of shipping, I'm not pleased that they still continue to send me their fat catalog and call me several times a year.  By now they've spent their profit on my single purchase many times over in printing, postage, phone charges, and hourly wages!

I have not had the problems that some of these post talk about. I purchased an item from Sweetwater about 2 years ago. I get a call from them about every six to eight months. Nothing annoying, high pressure or bad, just checking to see if I have any equipment needs.

Looks like a spam call from a company I ordered from. Should have known better. I'll avoid them in the future.

Yes, this is Sweetwater Music.  They only call me after I have ordered something from them, following up to see if everything is satisfactory.  No, they don't call otherwise; they respect my time and I appreciate that.  Incidentally, I think they are a terrific supplier of electronic music components.  I have a preference for a local store when I need acoustic components, but have been absolutely happy with Sweetwater when I've done business them.

First of all, you're replying to a two year old post.  Secondly, you are a shill.  Now be gone before somebody drops a house on you!.

So why are you here?  If you know the company that called you, why did you look up the number in the first place?  Clearly, this company and it's employees are doing "damage control" on this site.  Calling to see if you need anything else is TELEMARKETING.  If people ask not to be called, DON'T CALL.  It's as simple as that.  Instead of spending all your time shilling on this site, perhaps you should spend some time reviewing your company policies and stop annoying previous customers.  If you keep it up, they won't be back.  If you respect their request not to be called, they will do business with you again.

I don't answer unknown callers, but now that I know it is Sweetwater, they are a good outfit. This is just old fashioned product support. I have no problem with them calling.

Again, Sweetwater Music. They have excellent customer service and only follow up to make sure you're up to date on your equipment needs.
