I'm not quite sure how he's planning to rip people off with this one, but it's just shady. Tempted to mess with him since I know it's a scam, but then again, I don't want anything to do with crazy people like this.  Just gong to report it to the FTC - which apparently, based on this site, doesn't do much, huh?

Such a shame that there are trusting people out there that get duped by jerks like this. Eventually we'll all just become a society of jaded and suspicious individuals who have been taken too many times.  Thanks, Randy, Eva, and all you other as@%&*$#!

same number, same response, word for word to my craigslist ad

I too have furniture listed on Craigslist. I got the exact same email as everyone else. Something didn't feel right so I googled the email address & came up with this forum.
Thanks to everyone who has forewarned us. Thankfully, I didn't send her any of the information she requested.

Thank you everyone for posting!  I received 2 emails when selling an item on craigslist also.
Below are the names and email addresses used and a copy of one of the emails.
Janet claimed to me deaf and Lawson said he was on a military mission.

Got a response from Eva Knight for my listing..... when she sent the email asking for a money transfer the alarms went off in my head.

She's asking for a status.  I'm tempted to tell her I have come into a fair amount of $ and if she sends me $1000, I'll split it with her   :-p

I received the same email (in response to an item for sale on Craigs List).

Initially, I did respond, asking for the reason he wanted the item (furnishing a home, setting up a B&B? -- said he was setting up home, but would be donating the item to a local nursing home!!!). The response contained a phone number (couldn't be phoned, excuse being that he was on official business duty in Canada) and it turned out to be a public phone in Windsor, Ontario.

Thank heaven for this website.

I got the exact same email from johnnylan0404@gmail.com.  His first contact was from trackyoursnow@googlemail.com.

What a scammer!  So, who do I report this crap to?  And, are they just working craigslist?  I posted my very first ad on that website today and it didn't take long before I got the first contact.

I have few items listed on Craiglist, some oil paintings.
Yesterday I was contacted via email by Eva Knight asking if the paintings are still available. She inquired about 2 of the oil paintings on different emails.
I politely replied and this morning I got the same "scam" email from
Eva Knight <evaknightx@wikizplc.com.
So Eva Knight is still alive and kicking and the police is not doing anything about it.
Very sad...

OMG I got the same email from Janet Cole  janetisscole@wikizplc.com  what a Scam.  I hate people like like this.  They should not exist in this world.  

She also replied to my craigslist ad.  I was trying to sell a furniture.  I got the same exact email.

I just got the same from Janetiscole.  Thanks for your postings.  Saved me alot of trouble.  Wish there was more we could do.

I got an email from Eva Knight, about some furniture I was selling. It was clearly a scam, so I responded back with an address and phone number - for the police department. This is the response I got back from 'Eva':

"be smarter next time you idiot try to give me a police department, [***] williams lansdowne, and silly you. to think i would fall for it.

1401 Broadway, San Diego 92101, of course i was going to reserch the address."

Got the same initial email as everyone else, same phone # too

Got the same email from Eva.  Glad I read this! I was about to cash the check today!   I"m going to send it back to her with an email stating that I won't be completing the transaction.  Thanks for posting!!
