I live in Broomfield, CO, about a mile away.  I may drive over there and say something to them, but I don't know how to approach it?  I'm sure I'd just get a receptionist that will tell me to fill out a complaint form.

I don't mind confronting them if you guys out there tell me how I should go about it...

Called - I didn't recognize the number and there was no caller ID so I didn't pick up.  No message left.  I hope they don't waste their and my time by calling repeatedly.

This company PDC  delivers phone books and calls people at there homes to make sure the contractors who they hire are really delivering those directories Qwest phone company has a contract with them to deliver the books to our door
I also got a call (they should have someone drive out to the site instead of calling people to verify delivery of phone books

They called us after 9 P.M.
Now it is my understanding that it is completely
illegal to make seller calls after 8 or 9 at night.
No matter what the law is, calling at all infringes
on our rights when We are on the National Do-Not-Call
list. All of a sudden, We are beginning to get calls
from other numbers as well. Seems to have started
within days of re-adding our number to the list.
I guess the law doesn't mean much anymore.
So why even waste the time implimenting this ridiculous
    do not call list anyway?
To all of those who use our numbers for selling purposes...

Tell Them We Don't want Any.
Then find an actual number someplace on the desk.
Make sure to give it to as many folks as you can,
and then We fire back with calls and hangups to them.
    The scum must pay.
Telling them to stop won't mean much to them at all.
Millionaire desk jockeys rarely care about those of
us who actually work hard and would like to be left alone
by afore-mentioned ignorant idiots such as they.
Change the number and keep it unlisted...
Watch who you give it to...
and use fake numbers when doing any online business.
Won't get rid of all callers, but will cut it down.
    Good Luck To Us All

How can you say that you are verifying delivery of a product (phone directory) if you hang up when the call is answered?  I'm not sure what the ploy is here but I don't care for it.  I too am on the DO NOT CALL LIST

I check my caller IDs once a week and came across this one.  I always check here if I don't recognize one.  I keep one free email account setup for companies I email that I feel might sell my email address.  I sent the Do not call email from that email address so my personal email address wouldn't be bothered (best thing I ever did).  As for them hanging up . . . I've been told (and I'm not sure if this is true) that there are companies that record your number and time you answered the call and sell that info to other telemarketers so that they know someone answers and at what time of day.  Again, I'm not sure if that's the case but I never answer a call from a number I don't recognize.  EVER!  Even if it's in my area code.  If someone doesn't want to leave a message, it's not worth your time.  If you wish, you can file a complaint with the FCC as long as you've been on the Do Not Call list for at least 31 days (https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx).  Good luck!

Yes, I found a phone book on my front step!

I love this site!  Anytime, I see a number on my caller ID either at home or at work that I do not know - I simply ignore it - go to this site - and there is all the information I need to know.  I have never had to call any number back that I have looked up on this site.  It is always an annoying telemarketer - predialed recorded message or some survey call (as is the case now).

I agree with not giving out your phone number or e-mail address to these people.  You have then volunteered the information and created a business relationship.  You know what that means?  They now sell the information and they can now legitimately solict you with sales calls and junk e-mails of useless products and services.

You can not be scammed or solicited if you do not answer!  Thanks to everyone who posts on the boards with their information!

When are companies going to learn that telemarketing is an annoyance and reflects negatively on them!

Called in afternoon. No one there. Came up as 303-280-8687. I called it back later and got a recording that it was Product Development Corp and that their mailbox was full. I am on the DO NOT CALL list! This should be stopped or what good is the do not call law?

Rec'd ph call yesterday, Mon., Dec. 10th, 2007, at 6:01 pm. Product Development Corp. I did not answer - let it dump into voice jail. No message left from these dirt bags. If they were of an ethical nature, and what they were after was valid, they would've surfaced, explained, and left a genuine call back number, explaining the situation. Yeah, right.

p.s.:  These dirt bags have called us numerous times. If they are fortunate enough to actually talk to me--it's an experience they won't soon forget!

Oh, and one more thing. IF THE LIAR AND DIRT BAG FURTHER UP THAT IS ATTEMPTING TO EXPLAIN AWAY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT WAS ETHICAL, HE WOULD'VE LEFT HIS FULL NAME, STREET ADDRESS, CITY/STATE/ZIP, HIS TITLE AND HIS DIRECT PHONE LINE. The dirt bag doesn't have the stones to do that. So it invalidates his purported claims. Dirt bags, liars, stealers, and cheats are all that they are.

This number has called three times today, so I googled and found this site. Wonderful site, thank you for it.
When the number called, I let the machine get it the first time b/c I didn't recognize the number and it hung up on the machine. The next two times they called it was answered by a human, not a machine, but they still hung up. Did not hear any weird animal noises though.
I received phone books about two months ago. No other phone books have come since then. I am located in southern california.
Hope they stop, its getting very annoying.
I wonder if PDC does all or most of the phone books. That's a whole lot of people they are going to annoy. yikes.
