- Sally SmytheCDC survey for kids vaccinations
- Caller: CDC
- Call type: Survey
- I Check'em Out!Caller ID, "NORC U CHICAGO", I don't think a legitimate survey would have women laughing to leave a message on my answering machine and that is all they did! Obviously, just another phishing scam!
- Caller: NORC U CHICAGO
- SusieqThey called my cell phone number which not many people have. Why wouldn't they call my house phone which is listed in a phone book for a survey?
- JBThey were calling my house phone for awhile; that finally stopped. Now they somehow got my cell number. Thankfully I can block them on my cell.
- Caller: Scammer
- Eric GillisNo message. Just 3 calls at off hours.
- Ritehsemom replies to AlgernonI can tell you this number is a survey regarding childhood immunization. It's legit. Immunization compliance has been a serious issue because some parents believe they cause autism which is not true. Because of that, cases of serious childhood illnesses such as measles have increased. I am not gullible. Far from it. My career has been in the medical field and this survey is very important.
- AnnoyedReceived a call but number was unfamiliar and so did not answer. Rule of thumb, never answer a call from a number you are unfamiliar with or a call that you are not expecting.

- Grace| 1 replyIf this isn't a phishy scam spoofing a legitimate CDC number, I'll eat my hat.
I've learned not to answer after declining the first time the moment they asked for SSNs and things, but we're at three times in two days now, and always at really odd times of the day. Just don't bother with them.- Caller: CDC spoof

- Grace replies to GraceIt's also been three days and they've called five times since I'd last posted that. Incidentally.
- ACDC HNL replies to MelodySame here. They wanted to know if we had children and if they had been vaccinated. Very nice caller.
- Albert replies to MelissaJust got a call. It sounded legit. They wanted to know about any kids in the household.
- Moving MannequinTold them I wasn't interested and that they also caught me at a bad time. They still keep calling. Like every other day.
- Caller: CDC
- ColossalPenguin replies to Do this...Seriously? You want the CDC to lose funding because of how they're conducting this survey? Wow - I surely hope you're never in a position of any authority.
- ColossalPenguin replies to MurphysLaw| 2 repliesI'm also a scientist (and completely in favor of such vaccinations), but, according to the CDC's own website, this study/phone number is being conducted through the University of Chicago, so I wouldn't be too surprised about calling hours outside the 9-5 window. Besides, who's actually able to answer their personal phone consistently from 9-5? Seems like that would be a futile effort.
