Calls asking for person not at this number.  Have been told numerous times to take number off contact list.  Have even filed complaints with my State Attorney's office.  Nothing has worked so far.

This is an irritating Collection Agency named Malcolm S. Gerald & Associates, their address is 332 S. Michigan Ave. Suite 600, Chicago, IL 60604....they have repeatedly called me trying to get money from a debt I owed over 10 years ago and being that I am currently going thru bankruptcy this is actually against the law. Whenever I tried to give them my bankruptcy case # they would just hang up! My attorney will now be sending them a letter & calling them to let them know they can be sued if they do not stop calling me.

You are absolutely right. They get a bonus if they collect anything.....and they know their only hope is to bully a person into submission. They threaten with the cops, (just had a call from a place called WorldWide Recovery here at work for another employee). He said they were working with the Sheriff's office and I said well, send the sheriff over and we will deal with him, but not you cowboy....he said are all of you people working there idiots? I said we sure are, and YOU are our king.  LOL...Just have fun with it...and don't let them rile you...there is no debtors prison ....yet...with this president that may be on his agenda, but probably not...I don't answer my phone when they call, but we have to answer at work.

I got tired of the multiple calls and finally called the 800 number for them.  I told them I've had this number for 7 yrs and there isn't an (Name omitted for privacy) here and that I wanted to be removed from their list.  I was transferred to a very polite gentlemen, who told me that I was on an automatic dialing list.  I may receive additional calls today, but I shouldn't receive any further calls.  Hope this helps.

I get calls from this person and before was getting them from another so called collection agency. When I request proof of the original debt from these companies, I only get a statement from them that looks like it was made up off a computer program. They have never sent me actual proof from an original creditor. It is usually a credit card debt they say I owe even though I have never had a credit card before.
What a lot of these collectors do is to buy old, possibly charged-off debts and try to collect for themselves. When the debt is about to expire then it is resold to someone else and then it starts all over again. Apparently there is no time limit, they can keep passing a debt around and hound you about it for the rest of your life.

This number keeps calling us AFTER 9 PM!  They are looking for someone named Oscar Hughes and we don't know anyone by that name.  We have told them MULTIPLE times that we have no idea who that person is and that they obviously have the wrong number, yet they continue to call and it's almost always after 9 PM!  It must be a collection agency.   I am now reporting them to the FCC.

Some one just called me from this number and left a laugh as  the voice mail message.  LOL.

they call all hours of the day and night and never leave a message - looking for a person that does not live here .

I keep getting a phone call day and night from 312-922-6500 - m.s. gerald, looking for my son. I keep telling him he does not live at my phone number. So he wants me to give him a phone number he can reach my son at. I keep telling him my son hasnt worked in over 2 years and has no working phones. They have all been turned off. He said unless I get him a phone number he will constantly call my number and bother me. what can I do. I called 311 and they could not help me - told me to call my phone company - they could not help me either.

Verbal Harrasment Called employer several times and hung up as well.

I just started getting calls from them this morning, and so I just blocked the call using my computer and blocking software, works great.

ty for the letter, if anyone knows the law regarding my situation, please respond.  I had a credit card with Providian, I reported my card when it was lost or stolen, whoever had it, charged on it even over and beyond my credit limit.  I refuse to pay them or any creditor regarding that credit card.  Does anyone know what i can do in that situation to get it off my credit report, it has been approximately 10 years, however different credit agencies have been trying to collect the alleged debt.

Got a call from them today, 11-22-10 at 12:49 pm PST. No message.

They are calling my cell phone. I do not have any bad debts and when I ask why they are calling they hang up

I would get about 5 calls a day from these people. When I have answered they asked for someone else. They will then ask my name which I refuse to give them. It is like they are scouring the phone numbers for information. They have asked for a number of different people when they called. I have sent them a certified letter as instructed by my state AG and they will deal with them now.

I have received 7 calls from this number over the course of the past 7 days.  I am a teenager and during my school day they call me.  I want to get off their calling list, and they say I'm not on it anymore.  They always ask me for my phone number, and this time they asked me what state I was in... shouldn't they know this if they are calling me?????  I am DEFINATELY not Susan Hernandaz or Carol Birks.  Any adivce?  I've talked to someone twice now and still no results.  I'm only 15 so I don't have debt... ha

I think it's horrible that these people are still in business! I think everyone should call their Attorney General's office and put them out of business once and for all!
