I discovered the person that reported the calls are coming from the Pisa Group. I bet if we start calling and bothering them with phone calls and e-mail their will start to change the way they do business. There are several number and location from the where they could be calling you from. They also have different managers for each section in MO. The ist one of seven (along with locations)

We cancelled the Arizona Republic and they sold our unlisted "Do Not Call Registry" number to a solicitor!!

I think this is a service that is marketing the Dallas Morning News.  They could also be working for other papers

I looked up the very same number and it came up with The Pisa Group which is a telemarketing company. Looked up The Pisa Group and got their direct line with a name and an email address which I have posted below.....

Continous phone calls from this number during the morning and evenings. If we answer....nobody is on the other end...ever. Nothing. Just now I dialed the number myself and got a voicemail saying they were calling on behalf of a local newspaper and if I was interested I could leave a message but then it says the voicemails are full.
I am calling all of the local newspapers to get their help and see just WTF is going on.

Call this number.  I did and screamed at these people.  Sick of the calls.  I also sent a very nasty fax.  Figure, it cannot hurt.  Worth a shot.

Just got a call from them; didn't answer.

Don't forget:  if you have /any/ business relationship with the company, they are entitled to call you despite your registration with the do-not-call site.  Sometimes those connections are a bit tenuous, but if you subscribe to any news publication, e.g. a newspaper or magazine, there is a fair chance that this company is part of the marketing organization of that publication.  Note that the calling company may be contracted to the publisher.  "Gardez votre calme."

I get daily calls from 314-963-8895, the id reads NEWS. There is no one on the other end when I answer.

This number calls my cell several times a day. Make it stop!

supposedly these people are looking to re-new newspaper subscriptions. I live in florida and they said they are with florida today. It is a scam, i called florida today directly and they do not know who this is and why they offered me the paper for friday, saturday, and sunday for 12 a month, I paid 58 total last year for the whole 52 week period. They call me in the morning and evening every night! i finally answered today, and they were on the phone this time and i got to the point where i was going to subscribe( not really my intentions) and talked to the supervisor and descibed these problems of calling all day and told him to please take me off the phone list and do not call again!!

This number calls everyday from early morning into the evening hours, never a message.  Am on do not call list but it continues to happen.

Received another call today from 314-963-8895 so I finally answered it.  The conversation went like this.   A woman asked me if I was -----, I said yes.   She said "I'm going to send you some coupons for Macy's, Kohls, and Target.  I said "ok"  Then she said is your address still -------?  Dumbfounded I said "yes", and before I could say another word or ask any questions she hurriedly said thank you and  hung up!  Leaving me thinking "What was that all about and WHO was that"???

Now I'm worried about what might happen!  Has anyone else had this experience with them?

I got called from 314-963-8865 two times. He asked me such a ridiculous question. He said he is from Oklahoman. But I didnt believe it cuz his area code from somewhere else.

I am so tired of this phone number calling my cell phone. no one is there when I amswer it.

I, too, received a casll from them telling me about a free supplement to the Sunday paper, verifying my address and such (they told me, not the other way around.)  Afterwards I called my local paper to see if they were legit and they ARE OK, calling with approval of local paper.

You have to register once a year on the do not call list

That's what it says when you do a reverse lookup, but that info is outdated.

as it says on the link that was posted by Bez, you might have to register again if you change your phone service or change anything on the phone service but they say you do not have to register again every year.  also cell phones CAN be registered contrary to the rumor that floated around a couple of years ago stating otherwise.
