if they are calling your cell phn then go into your cell and add the number to the auto reject list then they cant call you...it goes to your voice mail at least you dont have to talk to them

They called looking for me, asking for my first name. My wife said I wasn't there and they rudely asked her for her name. She asked who was calling. They said, "You don't have to be that way!" and hung up on her. They called back again, after a recorded message someone came on, asked if I was home, when I said yes, they hung up on me. Have I just confirmed something that will now cost me serious money? Has my identity been stolen? Sh-t.

They called me too about Direct Tv. The funny thing is Direct tv receieved the their two receivers and I paid for the movies I watched. The computer did not register that the receivers where actually received to mid August and my Direct Tv was off for a month. I called both of them with my Fed Ex comfirmation stating that those two receivers where delivered and at what time. The situation was handled smoothly and I didnt have to act crazy on the phone.

To Scott West -  Not everyone owes the money that Directv says they do.  They are a deceptive company that causes malfunctions in their equipment and then automatically signs you up for a new contract when they tell you they can't fix their equipment  and have to send you new stuff.  NEVER do they tell you of a new contract and therefore you will forever, even after your dying day, be under a contract to them. You can never get past a "representative."  A couple of them actually told me that the people higher than them don't talk to consumers. People, all of you that are writing responses, please file with the BBB, FCC and your state attorney district.  Write your congressment.  Scott you should be ashamed of working for a company like this.  It makes you just like them!

Was rude, asking for an individual who lived at this address years ago (5+), one of many callers asking for this person. I asked the caller to identify herself, she responded "It's a simple question, is she there?", I answered, "It's a simple answer, the person you're looking for doesn't live here, stop calling".

They call several times a day but never leave a message

I receive calls from the 319-274-1904 Iowa number, and they ask for my husband using his first name.  When I tell them he is not available, they ask for my first name, and tell me that they cannot speak with me unless they have it.  They add that my husband told them that I had permission from him to speak to them, but my husband has never spoken to them.  I have thought about giving them a fictitious first name, in order to see what they are calling about, but they are so rude, that I usually just hang up on them.
I decided to google the number, and was pleasingly surprised that others are being harassed by this so-called CBE group.

A$$... he didn't owe money.  Re-read the post D1ckweed!  And you say "the house OF ways and means committee"  What the hell is that?  Are you trying to talk about the Committee on Ways AND Means?  Your a douche, most folks on this site are douches when they support Collection Agencies for trying to collect cash from the folks who didn’t owe it in the first place.

these jokers just called at 8:06 am clearly a violation of the fair credit collections act.  In addition Dirctv has been calling non stop since the day we stopped using them three months ago.  Plus we are on the do not call list and have asked them to stop calling.  They are blocked for now but really what do we have to do to make them leave us alone, leave the country??  Live in a hut in the middle of nowhere??  and please do not say pay my bill because we have no income at all right now.  but the only thing these people want to hear is that I am paying them... What to do...

they need to set their auto dialer to not call people at 8:06am it is against the law to do so... Plus I really like the other person's idea to call them every 30 minutes and tell them you do not have the money to pay.  That is priceless...

if they are calling every 30 minutes or even every hour, they are calling just to make the phone ring.  that is harassment.  it is also against the fair debt collections act, seriously.  It is your money, pay them when and however you want to...

I have been getting calls from this number for the last two weeks on my prepaid goPhone I bought at Wal-Mart!!  No company/business has this number.  They called me the first night I activated my prepaid phone!  I have not answered the call because I don't know the number and I don't want to waste my prepaid minutes on a scam!

Receive calls frequently - early morning, evening - very frustrating, want them to stop.

They are calling me now- they said that when I ordered service I was entered in to an 18 month contract- that I never signed anything or verbally agreed to- so I sent the corporate office a letter explaining that when I ordered the service I knew I'd be moving in 6 months, so I wouldn't have agreed to an 18 month contract & when I moved I tried to keep the Direct TV service but my apartment complex would not allow it. So I do not feel as if I should be charged $200 extra for something that is not my fault!

We have DirectTV service and are pleased with it, however, we get calls from this number regarding someone else's bill. We explained time and time again but the person at the company would not listen.  Finally we changed our telephone number and had it unlisted, but somehow they still got the new number.  Finally we blocked the number.  If this does not work, we will call DirectTV and cancel their service and go to Dish Network.

I have received numerous calls from 319-274-1904. When I click on "details" it also shows 423-869-2444.
