    Stop Stupidtology
In what universe do these robotic idiots exist in where if I say no on one line, I am then going to say yes on aother line a minute later.  My business number is very public with my name but my personal unlisted cell phone is not.  Insanity is repeating the same act over and over again expecting a different result.  Enough said.  Like I'm suddenly going to chage my mind after the 5th late night call.  What I want to know is how did they got my cell number.  That makes me feel violated.

Listen Punk, quit calling me and take my name off your f>cking list.

Oh, and just for fun......I went to the Whitehouse petition online and signed it, you know......the one  to have yur cult investigated.

And for anyone else..... that you have piss*d off lately, here's the website to have the Church of Scientology investigated by the Justice Dept/ FBI / IRS. This is quick and easy, and takes only 5 minutes. Only your first name and last initial will show up on the petition. Here is the website:

These people have been calling repeatedly for the past several months. I never pick up the line since I have caller id. Pathetic and sad that they are in the business of harassment - they don't seem to learn.

Inform them the person they are calling is deceased, and that you find their phone call grossly offensive. Ask them if they have any dead relatives you could call them to ask for, so they can feel your pain. Then make up a particularly gruesome death. Suicide etc.
Say things like "I cannot believe how evil someone would have to be to telemarket to a dead person". Get emotional.

    Worked 100% here.

Just got a phone call from some foreigner asking for me by my maiden name (It's been 25 years!) trying to verify an address in California that I haven't been at for 15 years (and didn't go by my maiden name then either).

I called back and all they would tell me is that they were the mailroom cleaning up their mailing list.

The crazy part is that I moved from California to another state clear across the country and have only had this number for six months.  How did they trace my maiden name to a new address out of state 25 years after the name change?  Also, I never was and never will be a part of Scientology.  Never bought a book or anything and don't personally know any.  I was 20 years old when I last used my  maiden name for pete's sake!
    • Caller: Refused to tell me.  Only that they were the mailing department

I received a call on my cell from this number even though my number is listed on the Do Not Call List.  They called at 8:55 pm.  Is there anything that can be done to stop them?  Any information as to what I can do to prevent future calls from this organization would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for reading this.

It is the Church of Scientology, although they answered "Mail Department".  They were trying to confirm an address that wasn't mine.  Asked them to remove my number, and they did.

    A former Scientology staff member
The reason we are being basically harassed by Scientology is because of a written order from Mr. Hubbard, who is deceased, and which is still believed in and obeyed. The order says to keep on sending out mail and calling those who used Scientology services or who gave their contact information. This is to keep on promoting Scientology or putting it out there.

In order to do this, staff members are told to contact a certain amount of people by Thursday at 3pm each week, either by mail or by phone. They have a quota to meet. Often they are naive, idealistic, and unpaid people that use their own cell phones to call us, and they are not even reiumbursed for doing this.

It is believed in Scientology that if a person is persistent that this is an indication of how are courageous they are. Thus the persistent phone calls and mail from Scientologists. It is also believed that most humans are resistant to Scientology because they need it. Or in the other words, most people are stuck with being destructive or are antagonistic, and are therefore unattracted to Scientology because Scientology does good.

The thing is, the way Scientology is being promoted naturally antagonizes people. From my perspective, I believe that the way 'Scientology' is promoted actually does more harm than good. It actually turns good people off.

There is some helpful information in 'Scientology' that I would like to see shared freely instead. It is not being freely shared right now because of the fear that the information will be distorted if it is not controlled by trained teachers and auditors.

It would be helpful if Scientologists will  be upfront about why they promote and protect Scientology the way that they do.

This number belongs to the Church of Scientology.  I went to some seminar on learning disabilities about 10 years ago and have been getting a boatload of mail from them ever since.  I literally had something in my mailbox from them every day!  When this call came in, I answered it without checking the caller ID.  The lady on the other end of the phone was actually very nice.  She said she noticed that they've been sending me a lot of mail and I haven't completed one of their courses yet.  I explained to her that I had been to a seminar years ago and really wasn't interested in receiving anymore mail from them.  She apologized and told me she was removing my name from their mailing list.  This was a month ago, and I haven't received one piece of mail from them since.  I must have just gotten lucky.

    Dugiebee,

I've been asking off their f*cking list for 15 years....and it does no good..... they just keep on calling/mailing/ and showing up unannouced and uninvited on my porch!.

So if you haven't received a call in a month, why did you come on this complaint board???

I suspect you  must be a scientologist trying desperately to clean up your cult's public image, well it's too late. Your cult has been harrassing people with unwanted junk mail and unwanted telephone calls for years.

And how do you explain this latest scandal? "Scientology allegedly imprisoned woman on cruise ship for 12 yrs"on website: http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/315171#ixzz1fYLu9BKK

We have had warnings about this type of call with people trying to get info to get into computers. Whoever they are, what ever they are up to have migrated to Canada.

    KS,

I doubt that. You are just a scientologist pretending to be an average guy. Trying to repair your cult's damaged image on the net.

Go drown yourself in more kool-aid and leave us decent folks alone.
