    CONFUSED
So far I only see posts from those working the call center, I would like someone who was placed or hired to be placed in a dealership to give some info. I was called by them today and told to take the online training and that they had a dealership for me to interview at as soon as I was finished. The training is free and I do not have to meet with anyone other than the dealership but I don't want to look like an a** walking into a place and the guy not knowing anything about what I am doing there. Is a person not on the call center list in this conversation anywhere.......

I thought something was odd, when I first noticed this ad in Career Builders dot com.  It listed a dealership hiring in a town that has no dealership, what so ever.  In fact, the town is not a town at all but an unincorporated hole-in-the wall on the side of a state road with barely a functioning gas station.  Do these people think we can't check these things out.  What?  They just pick a town, any town, out of a hat and say, "Let's pretend like our business is here and, yes, we are hiring."  Is bull and false advertising, so why does Career Builders and Monster Jobs allow these fake businesses to feed on the public?

    what are they doing?
Does anyone know what they are up to now? I was driving by and noticed that the Dealer Staff office isn't theirs anymore, that it's a Carolina Tile place now. I heard through the grapevine that DealerStaff got in touble, but Carolina Tile is also Rob and Cana. So I looked into it today online and I found that Rob owns 3 businesses that are the exact same, but different names. The ones that I found (as there could be more) are Kitchen Carolina, Wake Tile and Carolina Tile. They all share the same phone number and they all have the same website (Kitchen Carolina's website is a little different, but is extremely similar.) www.waketile.com, www.tilecarolina.com and www.kitchencarolina.com ...check it out.

Can they not do something to make an actual living? They have to thrive on conning people? They make me sick.

just received quote from Dave/Jeff of KitchenCarolina, but am troubled by the lack of information about the company(s).  Wake BBB lists KitchenCarolina as a new member but lists the business as having 50+ employees in business since 2001.  Dave said that their business is in Graham, but again no info on Kitchen Carolina from Graham area BBB's.   Does the NC Attorney Generals office have any advisories on the KitchenCarolina, TileCarolina or WakeTile enterprises?

I am a contractor that does work for Tile Carolina or Kitchen Carolina. They are great people and I get paid same day as the work is done. I have no idea what was up with Dealerstaff but this business is legit. I get a ton of work and like I said pay is fast.

    truthbetold replies to Jessica
I have read most of the comments here and just wanted to try to bring a little balance to the DealerStaff discussion. 1)THE BAD: Hind-sight being 20/20, I WOULD NOT QUIT ANOTHER JOB OR MISS WORK FOR THIS TRAINING unless you are already on your way out the door there. THEY CANNOT guarantee you a position with any dealership. I completed the training (I was out of work at the time). I went to my "pre-arranged" interview(I had to reschedule b/c the interviewer was "busy",but not before a current salesman told me that the Gen. Mgr did not "like to hire DealerStaff applicants). I still went back for my "interview" and ended up doing a regular application just as if I walked in off the street and the Gen. Mgr acted like the interview was the most tedious thing he had ever done. Needless to say, I never got a call from them. I called DealerStaff and told them (like I was supposed to do) and I believe I spoke with Jessica. After that, I knew I had been lied to about the "pre-arrnaged interviews".

Anyway, after a few tries I finally got an interview with the local Mazda dealership. 2) THE GOOD: Though the interview still did not feel "pre-arranged", it went well. I had to tell the Sales Manager that I was from DealerStaff. I think the biggest reason I was hired was b/c the Sales Manager himself had gone thru DealerStaff. Here is where I give Rob Selfors his due PROPS...In the almost 2 years I worked there I was told by numerous customers that they knew more about their new car than any other car they had ever bought and all I had told them was EXACTLY (word for word) what Rob taught us as a "walk-around". In fact, I ended up winning a regional "walk-around" contest ($1000 1st Prize) using that same presentation and technique. Well worth the time and $35 dollars I paid for the training.

All that to say this, if Rob would have come clean about what the company could actually do for someone with no car sales experience, he/they could still be doing it today without all the disgruntled people who feel they got scammed. Sorry such a long post but I hope it will allow people to go into this with their eyes open if they go into it at all.

I am Cortney Womble, I was hired at Parks Mazda in High Point, NC (336-886-7889) on/around 10/5/05 by Engin Arslan. I worked there for over a year and a half. The "walk-around" contest referred to was hosted by the Grandover Resort in Greensboro,NC. I dont remember the exact date for that.

I just had a quote done with Dave today.  The deal they gave me was unbelievable.  So unbelievable I'm concerned now bcuz they now have all my personal information, luckily my credit was denied due to not enough credit cards. I have checked on the  Attorney Generals Website and nothing comes up for Kitchen Carolina. I plan to recheck based on all the posting on DealerStaff. I am really concerned.

So glad that place is gone! replies to scam!!
I am glad people have finally caught on to the Rob and Cana!  Let me share my experience:

I began working for the company in the summer of 2006. I was fresh out of college (EU, for the local people), and I was looking for a summer job.  I was already working a part time job for a local office supply company and wanted a job that paid a little bit more.  I applied for the job and was called in for an interview the next day.  The interview last for about 15 minutes and they called me back the same day and said I had the position.  I was excited because they sweet talked me with the “plus commission” part of the deal.  I had never worked in a call center before and I was not sure what to expect, so I tried it out.
So, for the first few weeks the job seemed pretty normal.  I did overlook the fact that I was the only person of color that was employed by them and they didn’t have any male employees. Everyone else was white, young looking, and the girls that actually went out to do the interviews were all skinny, had blond hair and looked very similar (odd thing number 1).  After the 1 day of training (which was not even a full day because I had to leave and go to my other job around 2pm), I was on the phones trying to convince people to come to an interview that I could not tell them any thing about.  We were given a script of what to say.  We were never suppose to deviate from the script and if the person started asking to many questions we were suppose to tell them Rob or Cana would answer all of their questions when they came to the interview (odd thing number 2).
Being that I worked in sales for 3 years prior, I was pretty good at convincing people to come to these interviews.   I always had high numbers (I usually booked around 100-130, and around 80 would usually show up at the hotels), and never had to attend any extra training meetings on how to get people to come to an interview.  So I thought that I would have a pretty good pay check off commissions and overtime for booking so many people.  WRONG.  I only made between 250 and 280, and never made over 300.  This is sad because I was working 43+ hours a week.  I was using this as a full time job and still had my office supply job as a part-time/weekend job.  The only person that I know made and real money off commission at this place was an older lady who worked every day all day, and on Saturdays.  At the time she was the only one who worked on Saturdays (odd thing number 3).
So, I hung in there and tried to make the best of it.  I made friends, despite the fact they did not like the employees talking to each other at all.   Employees in the call center were supposed to be on the phones at all times and we couldn’t take breaks or lunches at the same time as anyone else.  Ok, so I dealt with that. I didn’t start to lose it with them until I couldn’t handle the lying anymore.  Every thing that Jessica previously stated is true.   DealerSTAFF claims that you are "hired" after you completed the training, they tell you that they already have a dealership that has a position for you, and they send you to a dealership that usually has no idea that you are coming.  The books they made people buy…the office supply company I worked for printed them out (I worked in the printing department), and the books were very cheap, definitely not worth the 35 people were paying for them. People who work in the call center are not allowed to talk to any of the potential candidates who came in on the training days.  I remember one time Rob yelled and threatened to throw a guy out of a training session because he didn’t have a tie on.  He embarrassed him in front of every one and they guy had to borrow a tie from someone else and one of my co-workers had to tie it for him because he didn’t know how.  Rob would always fly off the handle about any little thing that happened at those meetings, but no one questioned him and no one was going to.
Cana, she’s a different story.  She would always come off as nice and sweet to your face, but if you really got to know her she was a complete B(word).  The only thing I know she did all day (if she was ever at the office), was sit in her little room and listen to everyone’s phone conversations making sure that we were making calls and not socializing. I have never worked for a company that didn’t want their employees to get to know each other.  The only time we were allowed to talk was on those Monday morning meetings where she and Rob would try to find out what everyone did.  She would also mark our time cards (with her stupid red pen) any time we came in past 8:05.  LOL…To me that was a little obsessive.
The day I quit, I don’t think I have ever been that mad in my whole life.  First off, I didn’t have a break all day (and this was one of hour 10hr days).  My co-worker was leaving and I decided to take a smoke break (I smoked at the time but have since quit, yay me!) and talk to her for 15 mins.  At the time employees could smoke on the property, but after this things changed, or so I heard.  Not paying any real attention, I left my headset on attached around my neck and went out side for my smoke break.  Usually when a person left their desk we just left our headsets around our necks and went to do whatever it is we had to do.  When I came back in to the building Cana called me into her office and Rob proceeded to yell loudly at me for smoking with the headset on.  I was so shocked that he was yelling that loud at me that I didn’t even say anything the whole time I was in the office.  The Cana stepped in with this whole “How dare you take a smoke break with my property on you”.  They yelled at me for a good 10 mins and everyone else who worked in the building heard the conversation and all looked stunned when I walked out of the room.  I was so mad I was crying, they didn’t even give me a chance to say anything and called me disrespectful and a ton of other nasty things that Managers do not say to employees.  They even sent me home to think about what I had done (like I was 10 years old) and did not allow me to get my paycheck (it was payday).  I have worked various jobs ranging from sales, to teacher, to Research Associate and never in my life has anyone treated me so horribly.  Granted, I know I should not have walked out side with the stupid headset on but at the same time this is not how you treat an employee, you do not yell and belittle them like they are a dog.
I really don’t care if anyone believes my story or not.  I just had to get off my chest how I really felt about these people because if they really were as Christian as they claimed, people would not quit their job every other day.  I have never seen a company with such a high turnover rate as theirs.  I worked to many hours for those people, to many long days, did everything they asked of me and still I was not respected.  They never hired another person of color the whole 6 months I was there and they probably never will.  I think they are racist and prejudice and just pain mean.  I wanted to report them to the BBB, but I figured they would come after me with a lawyer and I was fresh out of college, I didn’t have the money for that.
Since leaving DealerSTAFF, I have been working for 2 years with the state of North Carolina at one of the local Universities.  I have been working since I was 16 and this is the only time anything like this has ever happened to me.  I have never had such a bad experience as I did at this place and I am so glad that I quit.

And we never looked at a persons resume...The only thing they wanted us to care about was if the person on the other end of the line had no experience.  SCAM!!!

It is NOT a scam! We provide a service...we actually go and completely remodel kitchen/bathrooms and customers DO NOT pay us until the job is complete and they are satisfied. I work for Kitchen Carolina with Rob Selfors and it is a great company and very honest people. How can it be scamming  people when we have licensed contractors go out and provide professional work and give people a BEAUTIFULLY remodeled kitchen at 60% off other kitchen remodels? Sad that people would go around making false advertisements when they dont know what they are talking about.

    So Glad I Left
I used to work at DealerSTAFF as well. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY. I started working there right after college and was eager to find a job and I was fooled enough to think that this place was legit. Rob and Cana are religious fanatics, so much to the point where during our "weekly meeting", we were told that we had to discuss our feelings on the dealth penalty. A little inapporpriate for an employment agency, don't you think? When I told them my position (which I'm not going to share), I was questioned, then told I was wrong and directed to a Bible passage about the "correct" answer to that question. We also had to share about our personal lives, which I do not agree with, especially after working there for a few days. Cana had a small child at the time and she would OPENLY BREAST FEED the baby during meetings. I am a female and that still made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I was also told that I was needed to help set up a waffle breakfast at the Selfor's church on a Friday morning instead of working at the office. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, EVEN IF THEY ARE OPERATING UNDER ANOTHER NAME. They are true scam artists. They offered me a pitiful salary ($7.00 an hour) with mandatory over-time of at least 10 hours a week. I was the first person in the office and the last to leave. Also, after a week of being an employee, I was promoted to covering all of the NC dealerships. I was told to call and basically harass the new employees about their sales- I received $0.25 for every car that they sold while DealerSTAFF got $85 for each car. I was not allowed to discuss my job with the employees in the call center and was frequently told not to be truthful to the applicants because I was giving them "too much information" about the hiring process. When I quit (after two weeks), I was told that I will never have a job as good as that one and I will end up working at Family Dollar for the rest of my life. That's a nice, Christian sentiment, don't you agree? And no, I do not work for Family Dollar, I work at a law firm, but I guess that just doesn't compare to DealerSTAFF.

This company is a JOKE! My husband worked for this company for approximately 4 weeks and was not even paid all of what was owed to him for his electrical work. The company lies about how long it takes to plan and install a client's new kitchen (promises 8 days ) and he has had to do electrical work on clients' homes that have been without a kitchen for 4 months.Never once did he have a good compliment or satisfied customer about Kitchen Carolina them self but only good compliments on his work and how efficient he was. The company is only as good as the help that they hire and they do not take care of their employees or contractors. I would suggest for anyone to go elsewhere for a new kitchen or for a job. Anyone who wants the real truth about this company can call me personally or email me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM. As for the insurance .... that is an extra load of crap.   Sincerely, KPoole

They scam the people who work for them. That is why they need to advertise NON stop as they pay minimum wage and expect people to front hundreds of $$ for materials they then don't give back.

Ok first of all to DRG... Graham has a Ford dealership right off the highway and there are plenty of working gas stations in the area, no need to be ignorant. I actually went through the training class and I found it to be very informative. They set me up with Asheboro Honda, I passed the interview, got hired, then a week later was fired due to my background check. Dealerstaff was aware of my criminal background before I took the training and assured me they would find a dealership that does not background check. When I returned to Dealerstaff to explain my situation and search for a new job Mr. Selfors mysteriously disappeared. He was "out of town" for a week and they got so tired of my phone calls that my number was actually blocked from their business line. This job may have been a scam for me and half the other applicants who were lied to and misled, but if you really want to pursue a job in car sales and need a way to get your foot in the door, Dealerstaff may be a good resource for you.
