- TA replies to MJ| 24 repliesI want to know what kind of work do they do? Their prices are great, prob. the best around... but how is their work if they are scam? (so you say) I'd like feed back
- Ray replies to TA| 13 repliesI do the same work for even less then them
- TA replies to Ray| 10 repliesAre you licensed and bonded? Turn Key Kitchens? Everything included in that room, period? Lighting, moving electrical outlets-Everything?
- See's the light replies to Aaron--and yes it's my real name.why does the pay scale change daily or ever weekly. Still happens now with Kitchen Carolina.
- See's the light replies to what are they doing? Now that scam subcontractors.
- See's the light replies to SpotUnless you want to be without a functioning kitchen or about 8 weeks, you were lucky you're credit was turned down.
- T replies to these people are scammers| 51 repliesIn order to get more notice you need to specify what, who to whom ,where and when the scam. What you have is not specific enough for any claim.
- former employee replies to blwaters| 1 replyI use to work for them, I drove roughly 1200 miles a week, They gave 50 bucks for gas, I work 60-70 hrs each week. Got paid 7bucks an hour, Was promised 5% commision, Never saw a dime of it!!!! The work is crap, the are very un organize, and I am sure they are richer than [***]
- contractor replies to blwaters| 1 replyfirst you do not have licensed contractors working for you thats a lie second the going rate to install cabnets is 25 dollars per box not 15 dollars and 10 dollars to demo old ones . no where has a large company like you are claming to be made a subcontractor supply there on tile and wait untill you get paided to pay out . i am a real kitchen and bath contractor and with 25 years of real contracting ot prove it you are a bunch of kids getting rich off the sweat of some poor people that dont know better. a real cabnet company makes there own cabnets not orders them from armstrong.
- Wish I'd never replies to Spot| 1 replyYou are one of the the lucky ones. I should have listened to my instincts but did not, the red flags were there but could not find anything negative on them at the time. RUN don't walk the workmanship was mediocre at best.
- TA replies to former employeeWhy do you say that the work is crap if you use to work for them? You use to do the work? So how is it crap?
- TA replies to T| 50 repliesYeah, You guys aren't being specific on the complaints besides the pay. I want to know specifics? What's so bad about this company?
- bj replies to MikeSounds like you are just mad because you didn't get the job.
- j replies to Mike| 21 repliesThey offered us the job... we are a small tile specialty company... we turned down because they want you to drive up to 3 or 4 hours away and they dont pay didly... the first job they offered us was a 23' long back splash that payed 175 and it was three hours away and we had to supply the mastic........ RIP OFF. they only pay like 1.75 a foot for tile and who knows where you will have to go
- ts replies to j| 16 repliesSir, you always have the option to turn down a particular job that you are offered. Most contracting companies have set pay scales. If that is outside of your scope of either work or travel just turn down the particular job. It typically doesn't give you a black-eye with the company. The bigger problem that I see is that anxious sub-contractors take a job, and later decide to no-show or try to leverage more money once they're in the people homes. This is unacceptable, and the contractual agreement covers the Contractor. In this case Kitchen Carolina.
Quit whinning, think about a job and it's scope before accepting. If you accept show-up and do the work without voicing your opinion to the customer. If you run into unexpected issues on the job, contact the Contracting company and discuss it with them. Most people are reasonable and will work with you to resolve. This has been my experience with Kitchen Carolina. - UweI made the biggest mistake in my life. I am using Kitchen Carolina to re-do my kitchen and we are now 2 1/2 month into the project. This company is completely disorganized and can't get anything right. The quality of the work that their contractors are doing is below piss poor. I have pictures to go with that statement. I "supposedly" talked to Rob the owner and he assured me that everything will be alright and the kitchen will be done soon to our complete satisfaction. this was 1 1/2 month ago. Dose anybody know a good layer in Raleigh that would be willing to take on this scammer?
- H replies to tsAint it funny when you read these post. You can tell when Rob (the owner) is on here trying to act like someone else.. haha I think its soo funny.. and he knows he aint worth CRAP! Cant even stand up to anyone! He is such a coward!!
- YNOT| 7 repliesOK PEOPLE...I work for a guy contracted out with Kitchen Carolina and maybe there were some mistakes in the past but i can't speak on that but i can on the work by them now. They are just to small of a company trying to do so much work the way they do it. I do cabinets but First you tare out the existing cabinets. Then you have to wait for the electricans or plumbers which most of the time are sorry i may say then we do WHAT WE CAN untill the flooring guys come a week later. Its not Kitchen Carolina its the workers they hire and contract out. The people they have in their office know nothing about the trade and trust everyone good on paper. They pay every week you must have your work log turned in by tuesday evening and thats not hours its WORK. Then you get paid when the job is finished (COMPLETE) when the homeowner signs off. I will admit they don't provid alot materials and do have alot of mis ordering but its just the workers down the line who are slack and DUMB. There organization is getting better i believe, its just a line and unless you stay on top of them yes you'll probably get screwed but hey when you win the lottery you go get your money right? you do work send them the work and proof and you'll get paid. For those who want to know about the work.. Myself and My Boss do exceptional work and have homeowner references and portfolios but...like i said their so unorganized and you might not get us. We've fixed alot of peoples stupidness WHO WERE FIRED.. My experience is you don't want the job someone will and ITS LIGIT. DO good work the homeowners happy YOU'LL GET PAID.. If they decide not to pay well ill put it to you like this ill spend a few nights in jail over someone taking food, water or shelter from my family and thinking they'll get away with it. I doubt ill need to do that though.
