Just do not answer when you see numbers you do not know what is so hard about this?

I am also plagued with these annoying calls but have discovered another option to keep them from calling my house and/or my cell phone (I use call forwarding).  Simply insert these numbers into your "call blocking."  Have a special ring for all calls blocked!  Done!  You know by the ring it is someone you don't want calling and eventually most of these calls will stop.  
Telephone numbers are public anywhere you want to find them.  Use your call blocking.

I have received calls from 402-952-4444 on my cell phone for the last two days. I don't know anyone from  Nebraska

They won't stop calling me! But won't leave message.

Because they call constantly and it's very annoying!

Just save the number to your phone and apply a silent ringtone to it, HELLO

Just save the number(S) to your phone and apply the silent or no ringtone to it and when they call you will not hear it, this is not rocket science

This call comes in daily.  It was in the morning and is now in the afternoon or evening.  I don't understand why the phone company in area code 402 cannot block this line.

They called and did not leave a message.

They are a collection agency under the fake shell of a polling company for two reasons. 1: to get you to answer the phone and provide info about yourself or someone they think you know about. Just saying hello provides info for their voice recognition software.  2.  They disguise themselves as a polling company to avoid the FCC rules of 'Do Not Call' .

Do not answer the phone... Check your caller id prior to picking up the phone to talk.  Do not talk with them.  Maybe even  tell them to mail their info to you but hang up and do not provide then an address say 'I deal with mail... not phone calls'.  If they do mail something it must be addressed to the person they are looking for otherwise send it back unopened with a label over your address saying 'not a resident'.

Most cases they are probably loan collection scum succors that bought a bad debt for pennies on the dollar and use outside companies to to trick you into identifying yourself or the person they think you know about.

Both my home and cell phone numbers are on the DNC list, and yet I get these annoying calls.

Some places do stop calling after you tell them not to, others don't.
Advice on dealing with the ones who don't stop: DO NOT erase the numbers from your phone. You will need them, along with the date and time of each call when you report them to the FCC- and that is what you need to do- report them. Gather as much information as possilbe before hand- all numbers the company calls from, the times, dates, and if you spoke to anyone, that person's name, what was said, ect. If you can get the name of the company and the location and/or address, that is even better. Go to the FCC website, and file your complaint. I can't remember if you can do it online or if you have to print out something.

Haaa! That's what I say!!! There is a reason why I put my number on the DNC list, and why my number isn't published. It pisses me off when people bother me on MY time, on MY phone trying to solicit my business or my money. I won't do business with them either, or door-to-door solicitors either. If I want to know about the business or their product, I will call them or ask them. They seem to forget this thing called advertising- that's what newspapers, magazines, billboards, mail, radio, tv......is for!
