They called and the caller ID said they were Gallup Poll. However they were looking for someone specific. It was obvious they were a bill collector looking fore someone. When I questioned this the caller got defensive and said they were the Gallup Poll but the company looking for the person contracts with them?????. I told them the person they are looking for doesnt live here and to remove my number. The reply is we just call the numbers they give us and cant remove the number.

I keep getting calls from this number. I should be on the no-call list.

I'm on the Federal "Do Not Call" list, and they call anyway. I did not give out my phone, but they got it! So, all people are not dumb, that was a stupid remark on your part!!!!

Told them repeatedly to take me off their list - they still call. I even resorted to yelling at them, not answering them and threatening with reporting them to the Do Not Call program - nothing stops them from calling!

The caller called up @18:17.01/02/2013. A man wished to talke to my wife. She didn't want to participate the survey.

They just called my home (again)."Out of area". The caller said that he was calling from the "Gallup polling" and asked to talk to my child and asked at what number he can reach him. I just added it to the "blocked caller" list (a beautiful feature of my Panasonic phone).

It was Gallup, he said, and it wasa survey about my recent out-patient visit at a local hospital.  I told him I saw he called the other day, and I had reported him to donotcall.gov. He said that happens all the time.  I told him they should change the caller ID so it shows gallup.

He's right: you can sue anybody for any reason.  That, however, does not mean you are going to win.

They called once. Now after reading some of these posts, I'm going to flush my phone and get a new #- I can't take this!!!!

Just so you all know, and I know it has been posted several times, but the do not call list does not apply to Gallup poll because they do not sell anything. In fact they only gather peoples opinions and thoughts. They are hired by many company's and sometimes federal agencies. The calls are recorded for quality assurance to make sure that the survey was conducted correctly and was not compromised. They do not leave voice mails because there is no point when if you don't anwser they will just call back at another time. Many of the surveys are done on a random digital dial. Which means the computer picks a random weather  it is a cell phone or a landline. They are allowed to call till 9PM in that time zone. The interviewer  does not know where or what time they are call until the phone is picked up or an answering machine picks it up. For bank surveys the only information we are given is a name, the recent branch and maybe a date. But nothing else. The interviewer only wants to gather your opinions about the service you received. If you are called about bank survey simply tell the interviewer that you don't want to take the survey and/or tell them put me on your do not call list. If you simply want to confirm that they are who they say they are ask for their full name, their interviewer number and the Gallup toll free number. There is no need to yell, cruse or be rude with the interviewer. They are simply doing the job they were hired to do.

Getting repetitive calls from this number.  Phone is listed as DO NOT CALL.  Went on-line and discovered it's Gallup polling organization.  STOP CALLING!

Just a survey folks LOL ...relax. Its Gallop usually its a bank that you do business with wanting to make sure the service was good.
