This  was a Gallop poll regarding a recent trip to a PNC Bank. Totally legitimate callback to get my feedback. I have done these a few times and it only took 7 minutes. i'm glad my bank wants my feedback. It's not a tele-marketer or scam.

as a side note, i have had these calls from other companies. they hire gallop to do follow-up calls regarding your transactions with them. most of the people posting above assume they know who the caller is but have never talked to them or got very far into the phone call. they didnt ask for any personal information, only for me to rate my experience with PNC bank.

I went to the Gallup website and asked about this number.  They confirmed that it is one of theirs.  So, it is a legitimate polling service.  I don't know why there are hangups when you answer, but perhaps you will want to complain to the Gallup organization.

Customer service call on behalf of PNC bank, survey on recent branch visit

The caller, 402-952-4444, GALLUP ORGANZ ( displayed on my  phone ). first it was message talking about Gallup poll, then asked  me to press a number to participate the poll. I turned it off since I am  on federal "  do  call " list. Later, I called it back & tried to ask them " Do not call, but the lengthy message would not allow me  to say : please, do not call, Many people reported this unwanted number to www.800notes.com. since 02/13/2007.

I don't answer callers I don't know.

Just turned my answering machine back on and the first call is this 'whatever, whoever' that blasts me with loud honking tones when it answers. They also call from at least two more numbers, with the same tactics. So if you don't answer, you get razzed.
They will not quit, as have got these calls off and on for several months. Guessing the phone company makes to much money from these phone spammers/scammers to do anything about it and the Don't Call List is a totally useless government program.

I got a call at 8:00 p.m. on Friday 402-952-4444. stop this unwanted calls from gallup organization.

Do not choose to have Gallup call my personal cell! Please stop calling.

Pollster asked me several questions about my recent experience at the bank. A nuisance and waste of time. If I didn't like the bank, I'd close my account and go elsewhere. Anyhow, Its not like I'm a gazillionaire and my puny accounts make any difference to the TOO BIG TO FAIL BANK.

I have been receiving these call recently on my home ph. Number which is 623-581-3240 which is my private number that no one has the rt. To use and bother me and my family.L

If you want them to stop calling, pick up and press "9." It adds your phone number to their "Do Not Call" list.

Something about these folks  is making my spidey senses tingle.  I have pretty good intuition.  I don't like the fact that we are on a first name basis and that they knew our bank location and when we were last at it, in person.  

This number has called me twice the last couple of days.  I hung up on them the second time.  The Caller ID said "Gallup Organization."  Since this is an election year, I assumed it's probably about voting or issues on the ballot.  1st call came about 8:34 p.m., while watching a movie.  2nd one about dinner time.

Gallup is a legit polling company, but I don't trust the Caller ID anymore.  I've read so much about how they can be spoofed.

No one ever asks me my opinion about anything, so I'd like to participate if it's really Gallup.  But I don't know if it is.

I do have a Wells Fargo account, and they only called me once in the 20 years I've been a customer.

I did visit a branch last week.

Whether it's WF, or Gallup calling on behalf of them, or a scam, or whatever, I don't want to talk to them.  I only want to talk to an employer, since I'm out of work.  No family, no friends.  And these are the only kind of crap calls I get for years now.

FYI, survey companies are exempt from the Do Not Call list.  So is your bank, if WF is your bank.

I also have my number listed with the do not call and still I get this anothers. How do you stop this???
