- JF77380| 2 repliesI almost hate to enter this particular fray, but I have an additional point to make. I just received a call purportedly from this number which indicated "Omaha, NE." Caller ID showed "Unavailable." No message was left. I am on both State and National "Do Not Call" lists. When I looked up that number it was associated with Gallup, but the point I want to make is that the technology now exists such that a call can appear to be from one number when it actually comes from another. Unfortunately, we can no longer rely on the Caller ID information to be accurate; it, too, can be falsified. <<sigh>>
- Caller: Gallup?
- not Michael replies to JF77380Gallup does have a large facility in Omaha. It may even be their headquarters. I parked in their parking lot yesterday when I went to the food festival 1/2 mile away. Free parking - at least Gallup is good for something.
- The guyThis is not from or anything to do with Wells Fargo. They get the name of the top line off your Wells Fargo statement and match it with your telephone number. Two years ago I worked with the C.S. office of Wells Fargo. It does come from Omaha, Nebraska. Wells Fargo does have a local office and someone pulls the first line & phone & sells, gives it to them. Wells Fargo Does Not have these people perform any thing. Call the Main office. They know.

- FernI'm on a "do not call list" and do NOT appreciate phone calls from people I don't know. I'm reporting this now. I don't answer calls for unknown callers.
- Caller: have no idea didn't answer
- PDCThis is Gallup Poll. They are very nice people. Polling calls are not subject to DNC lists, state or federal. If you answer the call, you can request that your number be removed. They are most accommodating. You can participate in the poll if you like. Usually questions about politics, opinions about education, etc. No one is selling anything or collecting info to sell. Gallup is a respected, global research organization that's been since 1935.

- Troll9000 replies to RobU mad bro? Sounds like scamming to me. I have nothing to do with Wells Fargo.
Any legit call will leave at least a voice mail. Not ask if you spoke to Tom Dick or Harry then hang up.
Sounds like your in on the scam with your multiply post trying to make the calls seem legit. - JB replies to RonI have a bit of information for those of you who might no be aware of it : YOUR CALLER ID CAN BE FOOLED !!
No matter what number shows up on your Caller ID, the call can easily be originating from anywhere in the world.
Software exists that allow scam callers to trick your Caller ID into displaying any number that the offending caller
wishes to show. Caller ID may give the name of a company located in the US, while the call actually originates in
a telemarketing boiler room operation in another country [India e.g.] Calls that originate outside the US are not
subject to US laws, so the DO NOT CALL list is useless to stop them. - Rebel| 1 replyThey are persistent! Calls from this number every day...even on the weekend. I don't pick up and they don't leave a message.
- JerryThis number IS from Gallup Poll. They did do several hang up calls prior to an actual person (me) on the line. She was VERY sweet and not the "typical" telemarketer or scammer. (trust me a have had tons of them....rude ad obnoxious) ! They are calling representing the Democratic Party/views, and asking about views on Obamacare etc.
