- Becca replies to DuhpplHow would you know if the Girl wanting to change banks is a "DEADBEAT"?
maybe she lost her husband? Life happens... and you don't know what peoples situations are. No one is as perfect as You! If Chase wants to give out money freely with an extreemly high interest rate that only gets worst if your late, they are probubly getting what they deserve. - SRI answered my home phone today (I usually do not because of telemarketers), and the party hung up when I said hello. I don't know why I did it, but I hit *69 and got this number, then I googled it, and found this blog. I do have a Chase card, but it is current and I have never had any problems with it so far. However, every day I get at least one recorded sales call of some type on my machine. I wonder if this was supposed be a recording and they were not set up to actually speak to anyone. When people call back it is some low paid, uninterested and poorly trained worker in a call center who isn't prepared to handle calls from the public, thus the rude behaviors. Also, if the calls are automated that would explain why some folks are getting so many of them. Just a theory.
- GlennaChase calls me multiple times during the day, i do not, nor have ever had an account with them- being only 16 years old that is impossible.
They keep telling me to give them my social security number. Hi, do i look like a dumbass? No thank you.
They then start YELLING at ME saying how i shouldn't be calling them if i do not have an account, eventhough i am only trying to get taken off whatever list i am on.
They connect me to a higher level , and someone answers the phone, and asks for my account number/social security. both of which i do not have so then they tell me to give them my cell number and i do.
They tell me i don't hvae an account with them and there is no reason why they would be calling me,EXACTLY MY POINT. and she further tells me that they don't even have my number in my system, therefore i am making everything up.
Okay sweetie. call me when you pull your head out of your [***] and develop a brain. until then the FCC will have a good time reading my complaint.- Caller: Chase bank
- JeffyI get on average six calls a day. Yes my bill is behind as I was robbed twice in the last year, cleaning me out of basically everything valuable I own each time. Insurance refuses to help. Very high stress level. I do answer when I have time and try to reason with the caller, but they just have an English-language cheat sheet that they read from that pressures you to pay and try to extract a recorded promise to pay. I want Chase to have their money, I'm not a deadbeat (credit rating 720) but these harrassing calls are not productive.
Here's how they work: I answer call from the bank two weeks before my payday. I don't know how much I'm getting paid or what other bills might turn up in that time, so I stay very low on what I promise to pay. They insist on automatic deduction from my account. They get a date from me when they can take it. They take it the day before, and start calling again the day after.
Here's something to try: Use online banking to send 30 one-dollar payments, one each day. I think the receipt of a payment may trigger the automatic dialer to take your number off the list. I haven't tried that yet, but I will soon. Hell, if they can call me six times a day from India (that can't be cheap), they can afford to process thirty payments a month.- Caller: Chase USA

- theaI do not believe these phone call from this number 407-771-0887 are from the real chase bank. I received calls too and the first time the guy on line was Indian ( India) trying to get on the phone a credit card payment, which already my payment are being made. The second time this guy " Jamie" wanted a payment for a VISA credit card which I do not have.

- Ronald Dubois Sr.The above number keeps calling just about every day. Its very anoying, but after the fourth ring they leave no message, all it says on my caller I.D. that its from Florida. I'd like to get my hands on they just for a second.

- LisaI get several calls every week from 407-771-0887. They don't leave messages. I finally called the number today and a man answered and mumbled something about "card service". I asked if it was in relation to Chase and he said yes. I asked which chase account and he said if I gave him my social security number he'd tell me. Ummm, no.
I'm going to call Chase in a minute and sort this out. I am behind in my payment, but normally when this happens I get a call that's CLEARLY from Chase, and they actually leave a voice mail. - ARConstantly calling and never leaving a message
- jana| 2 repliesChase will never ask for your account information if they call you. They've already got it, and only will verify the last four digits of the account number if they need to get into your account. The only reason they'll ask for your full account number is if you actively call them.
Also, Chase will identify themselves immediately upon calling, and identify themselves in voicemail messages.- Caller: Unknown
- Survivor replies to Duhpplthey have a right to collect... they have a responsibility to be civil, and reasonable. OK, tow the corporate line, and stick to the letter of the contract, but don't treat me like a deadbeat just because I make a mistake, or because I fell on hard times... not reasonable.
calling people stupid just because they are upset that someone is being unreasonable is inappropriate. Call once... leave a message, ask for a call back, wait a reasonable (and legal) amount of time, then call a couple of times, leave another message. BTW they DO give a sh*t because they want to continue to get your payment, including interest, rather than a settlement or even a payoff. They are in it for profit... how simple is THAT... - Big RMy comment is typical of what I have read here. However, I'm getting calls before the due date of the payment.

- Fed upI don't have an account with Chase, but they have continued to call my cell phone 5 to 10 times a day for the past couple of days. I think it is a scam and they are phising for people with real accounts. I am going to report this to consumer protection and see where it goes.
- nonameI have been getting calls from this number at ALL times of day and night at home, work and my cell. Is there anything that can be done to stop this harassment. I am at risk of losing my job due to the constant calls at work and on my work cell. We have to have a way to stop this.
- Caller: chase card
- FrustratedI get calls at my work phone 3 to 4 times a day from this number. I googled and found this board. I don't have a Chase account. When I answer it hangs up immediately. What is up? I suspect they might be looking for the person that had my number before but there is never anyone on the line so I can inform them they have the wrong number!
- Caller: Found out is was Chase from this board
