They started calling my cell from 402-220-4355. I don't answer numbers that I don't know. I did call them back and it was an automated service. The automated service stated my name, my account balance, the amount due, and when the payment was due...(September 10, 2008) They wanted to to enter my checking account number to pay my bill over the phone.
Then they called a couple of times from this number. I never answered this one.
The real fun has been with the new number they are calling from...210-586-0006. 22 times in the last 3 days. The earliest call being at 6:04 a.m Sunday morning. The latest 8:26 p.m. I also called that number back and I was told the call would be monitored, then prompted to enter my 16 digit account number.
We just got home from vacation and when I checked my mail, I did indeed have a bill from my Chase account. There are no late charges on my bill. My statement clearly shows that I paid my bill last month. I am not late, and my payment is not due for a little over a week now. The September 10 due date the automated system stated was not correct.
So, I don't know what is going on with these numbers. I did think it was very odd that the first automated system had my name, and balance.
I definitely would not give these people any information. If you do have a Chase account that is past due, I would recommend you call them directly to set up a payment. I will continue to ignore all of these calls.

Chase continues to call me at my business number although they have been told not to.  They are putting my job in jeopardy.  I'm not late.  I pay electronically and they can't seem to get payments posted properly.  As soon as I'm paid up, I won't be dealing with them again.

They called me when I asked who they were they wouldn't tell me. I insisted on them telling me what company they were calling from and they hung up.

Chase has been calling me NUMEROUS times a day.  They call at least a dozen times a day.  This is borderline harrassment, is it not ?

I lost both my jobs and fell behind with both my Chase card and my USAA card. I owed almost $550 late. That was almost a month ago now, they are paid and still calling! USAA only called once every 2 days when I owed and now they dont call at all. But why wont chase stop calling me. I admit I was late and shame on me but now I just want them to go away. I will be canceling this account when it is paid off, my credit be damned for doing it but chase would try to ruin my life if I dont.

They been calling me like crazy. Yes i havent pay my card is because when i wanted to make payment online, there was an error on the system for some reason there were no data at all on my account, so i couldnt make a payment, coulndt see the min due, the due date etc.. So the following day i went online again and the system worked fine, but they charged me for late fee and over limit fee because i didnt make payment ontime (1 day overdue) but this is not my fault since there were some problem on their site. I called the customer service and asked them to waive the fee since i was willing to pay my bills but they couldnt waive it because according to them there was no record of me calling them on the day when i was having problem with their site. Since they acted like that then i decided not to pay at all.

this may be a scammer that got hold of a database of chase customers via security breech. and they are trying to glean more information for id theft purposes.

ive been contacted by chase alot as i ended up getting far behind and fell into debt after not being paid for a job i reicved monthly paydays from. i evenutally had to switch banks after one bank managed to swander over 1200$ from me and had the nerve to ask me fore more money. since switching banks ive had setup multiple payments with chase so far only one payment has been fully credited to my account even tho ive had over 290 in payments clear my bank. everytime i get told that they will look into it since its not a nsf its just lbaled uncollected. yet they have charged me returned fees. this last time the lady was more helpful gave me more information on who to call. about figuring out why my bank would indicate that the money has been removed but chase not post it.

I started getting these phone calls after I made arrangements with Chase and technically I believe they are not supposed to call and harrass you for a week once you speak to them. not to mention they start early in the a.m. too!

Chase always calls my daughter's cell phone looking for a guy named Alex. I told them to stop calling because my daughter is only 12! They call like 16 times in one day. My daughter is annoyed and I'm pissed off to say the least! They have a phone number we can call to report these a**holes? Because this is getting really irritating!

If you owe credit cards you can't pay, get an answering machine and turn off the ringer on your phone.  Let the machine answer and if it is someone you want to talk to, pick up.  If not, erase.  Let your friends and family know you are screening calls because of telemarketers so they will talk to your machine.  Don't waste time talking to creditors they just want to talk you into writing BAD CHECKS so they can get you in real trouble and it will just stress you out and encourage them to harrass you.  The sooner you stop talking to them the sooner they will give up and go away.  If they don't know where you work there isn't much they can do but harrass you.  Check out daveramsey.com to learn how to deal with credit in the future.

Called 3 times before I didn't get a "click" in my ear.  Asked for someone I've never heard of, I said "no one here by that name" and he says "oh he's not in?"  I said "NO there is NO ONE HERE BY THAT NAME" he says "this is the number we have for his work and you've never heard of him"  I said "BINGO BUDDY, you win a prize!"  and hung up :)

I talked to a rep from Chase not too long ago.  I asked them why they are calling, even after I had sent in the payment and they had noted it on my file.  Their answer was "we will continue to call until your account is in current status."  They were calling my cell number, too.  I asked the rep just how they got my cell number. They stated that I must have given it to them, or included it on an application.  I told them bull!  I do not give out my cell number in this manner, on paper or on the phone.  After arguing for a while, they agreed not to call my cell any more.  The calls stopped.

Calls start around 8:17 am. Sometimes up to 8 times a day. They call on my cell phone and land line. Never leave a message.  Reading this web site I know it is Chase.  Yes, I am late on a payment. Times are tough for a lot of people.  Harassment will not get them paid any faster. Perhaps if they did not charge such outrages late fees 39.00 we could meet their minimum payments. Maybe the government should come up with a "bailout" plan for the millions of Americans who are struggling to pay these banks.  How about a freeze on late payments or a reduction in the interest rate so we can meet the payments?

I as well have been getting non stop calls on my cell phone, they don't call my home but only call my cell phone and don't even know how the got the number b/c I never give out my cell phone to anyone but how needs it.  It is very annoying when you are at work and the phone keeps going off.  It's just not acceptable.

I have received calls from two different phone numbers claiming to be Chase Bank. I called back and the guy on the phone demanded my account # or social security #. I told him I wasn't comfortable giving either out over the phone and he told me there was nothing that he could do for me and hung up. I called my local Chase branch and they told me that it is likely a scam. I am up-to-date on payments and there is no reason for them to be calling me, nor do they need my information because they already have it.
