    Hi.

I agree. It's Marriott Vacation Club program. They're legit. I was a Marriott Platinum Elite member for a few years and love their rewards program. BTW, I am very skeptical and would not have done it if it WEREN'T Marriott... so, I setup a vacation (4 days in Orlando) for cheap... then upgraded to St. Kitts.  I'm going in July. I'll post my experience there. So far, here is what I've done/learned.

I postponed a couple of times and they added an extra night and a suite upgrade. If MVC is a part of Marriott, then it's a good deal. I'm only worried about spending $$$ on airfare. The pkg I finally have is 5 days/4 nights in St. Kitts in a two bedroom suite (non-beach facing location). Total price (no airfare) $399.  I've talked to some other Marriott members and they say that they're basically trying to court you into joining the program. 5 days/4 nights in St Kitts is phenomenal. I'm looking at airfares out of NYC at about $400 per person. I *must* attend the orientation but I can bring another couple for the other suite... they don't have to. So, $700 total for 5 days isn't bad for me.

    Some caveats:
    1) I think there is a minimum $100,000/year household rule.
    2) The vacation is in the NAME of the person/people who set it up. If it is a couple then THAT couple is the only people who can use it.
    3) If you end up divorced or separated, legal documentation must be provided.
    4) You are expected to attend an orientation (1-2 hours). WHOEVER IS NAMED ON THE VACATION AGREEMENT MUST ATTEND... or you must pay the FULL PRICE. I believe childcare is available.
    5) You can reschedule (for $50 fee) up to 30 days PRIOR to your trip. I've rescheduled about 4 times! If you wait too late, have a good excuse and they are really good.

I think I talked to Robin also (she got me an extra day and suite upgrade for a trip to St. Kitts).
Other names I've noted: Pammy, Yasmina, and Karen.
    Other numbers I've seen: 866-466-1200 800-782-5410 888-357-9209

FYI, I just logged into my Marriott account to check and there is a FULL confirmation of the trip to St Kitts... 5 days/4 nights... see my earlier post. The Marriott Hotel- https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/skbkt?groupCode=MKTMKTD

    So again, it's legit.

i received a call from this number also, that's why I'm here hoping to find out who called.  if it's Marriott then this is legit.  Me and my girlfriend signed up for the vacation club thing for $169 when we were in Vegas last month, and they actually had multiple spots in the Venetian where they try to sell this package to people.
i believe one major requirement is that you have to be a home owner to be eligible.

I paid $159.00 roughly a year ago for two nights at a marriot villa in newport beach, ca., all I have to do is attend a 90 minute timeshare presentation during the stay.

Villa has kitchen and two bedrooms and is on the beach. I think it was a good deal. so that is why i got these calls.

Doesn't matter. I don't want   solicitation calls at 8:30 at night. If I miss out on some spectacular offer by Marriott because I want my privacy, so be it. Just because I am a customer of a hotel, store or service shouldn't give the right to bug me at my home and any hour of the day.

I have no qualms over hanging up on these people and I will continue to do so.

I agree with Analyze This.  I am under no obligation to tell Marriott or its agents to go away.  What I now do is that I never answer the phone (thanks to Caller ID) unless I see a familiar number. Or for fun and games I'll pick up the phone and place the headset near a radio.  The little "hello's?"  make me smile...

This mesage looks like it was generated from Marriott's own hacks.  The level of detail e.g. "3) If you end up divorced or separated, legal documentation must be provided" doesn't pass the smell test.

I work in Orlando at the Marriott call center.  For anyone on the DNC list just pick up the phone and let the associate know you'd like to be on Marriott's DNC list, because when you sign up for your rewards membership you authorized Marriott to call you regarding special promotions (it's in the fine print).

With these promotions Marriott runs two offers on that is posted on Marriottvacations.com that anyone can access.  And one where we call rewards members, rewards members save $50-100 off of the website price, Marriott covers sales tax and resort fees, vacation planner will book/change your dates or locations as requested.  EX:
http://marriottvacationclub.com/vacation-reso ... /specials.shtml shows our Canyon Villas special.  Right now anyone called by Marriott gets the same stay for $199 + $50 gift card when you check in.

If you believe I work for Marriott and have legitimate questions please post them.  If you just want to yell at me please don't.  I'm just trying to be helpful.

This number is from Marriott Vacation Club Corporate offices in Orlando, FL. If you do not want them to call simply say please put me on the MARRIOTT do not call list. If you are on the national Do Not Call List, Marriott can still legally call you. The reason why is because you have a business relationship with them. (Rewards member, past guest, etc). These offers are the best Marriott has to offer. Email promotions do not compare. They periodically give calls to rewards members that haven't responded to the postcard that was sent out. Many people thought it was junk or simply threw it out by accident. If you don't want to save 60-80% on a future vacation at a top rated Marriott property, then you must be CRAZY. If your skepical, simply ask the agent to look up your rewards account information, they should be more then happy to do so. IF you not willing to secure the promotion with the $199 dollars , this type of promotions just isn't for you. There are thousands of people that are interested.

Even if you ask them to stop calling, they don't!  It's a waste of your time to ask them.  Frankly, I don't want their vacation - if I want a vacation, I'll take it on my own terms.
