- MR.X replies to AnonymThey don't deserve to be harassed. They deserve to be terminated. Whether that is limited to their job or something more, I leave for the reader to decide.

- Ric in Dayton replies to Miss AnnI got one of these calls 20 years ago, got a great trip to Hilton Head for 4 days for $199 and actually purchased into their vacation system during the 90 minute presentation. It was the right thing for me and my family. We have enjoyed 20 years of vacations in a number of locations including 15 years on HHI. If you can tolerate "learning" about the program and saying NO if that is your choice, then the vacation is a great deal. We just made it greater by actually buying and USING it for last 20 years. To each his own.
- ThatGuy2Got a call from them today. Fortunately my spam software intercepted the call and sent it to voicemail after one ring. No message. Purchased one of these packages a few years ago for a Las Vegas Marriott vacation club. They did everything wrong, from reception to my room across the hall from the elevators, to an air duct blowing directly on the bed, dead batteries in the TV remote and a mirror fell off the wall in the bathroom. So I informed the sales person at the start of our presentation, no thanks, you couldn't have done a better job of screwing up if you had tried. Once I told him about how it had gone so far, he let us leave the presentation early.

- Bored with this replies to IJustworkhereReally? That's funny because you guys have been calling my brand new phone number non-stop for 3 days in a row now. I literally just got this new line installed 3 days ago and NO ONE has this number, not even my friends or family.
So, I call bullshyte. But we already knew that. Try leaving people alone unless they ASK YOU to call. - Oslo WoofIt is Marriott, they are making an offer to members of Marriott rewards (Or those who have recently stayed at a Marriott), just sy no thank you. Or they might have a special you might want. Call blocking works also.

- NoVaGal replies to MattDo be aware that scammers can "spoof" a legitimate phone number so that it appears to be a legit call. Always be careful and NEVER give your credit card info over the phone unless you are absolutely sure that the call is legitimate.
- idk..they called my business twice on different days and when i said my greeting as I answered the phone, both times they say "oh i'm sorry I didn't mean to call a business." What?
- Caller: Marriott

- V3I found out who is making these calls.
This is a "company" located in Cancun, their website is holidaysandsinternational.com. They even use the same call-hold music. Their toll free number is 1-800-982-7431. I got the company name though one of their spam calls and when I talked to them today they flat-out admitted they are the ones responsible for these telemarketing calls.
Because they are in Mexico they claim they do not abide by US laws regarding telemarketing. They also use hijacked cell phone numbers so it makes it look like a local number is calling you. The people who actually own the local number have no clue they are being used by this scam travel company.
The telemarketing recording starts out with the same garbage, though the names change. Sometimes it is Marriott, Sometimes it is because you are a United or Delta customer. I've even heard them use Travelocity and Expedia.- Caller: Holiday Sands International
