Got the same letter today - thanks for the heads up!  Although I can't help wonder what would happen if I just deposited their check to see what happens.  That is, not to withdraw anything, but just let it sit there.

As with some of the postings below I got a letter today form Inter-American Promotions Inc.  The amount of the check they said would be used to pay taxes in the UK is $3880.00.  After they get the payment of taxes the remaining amount of $171,120.00 would arrive by FedEx.  The amounts are exactly the same as someone else posted here.  I am going to forward the letter and the check to my states attorney to see what they can do if anything to get this scam to stop.

We (my husband) got the same letter from Manu West from Inter American Promotions Inc. It was the poweball lotto, $3880.00 check, with Fedex to send the remaining amount. It lists Walgreens, Kmart, Costco, Staples, Home Depot, Office Depot, etc, yes it says "etc". The check we got is drawn off of Seaside National Bank And Trust, Orlando, Fl. It also says it is in conjunction with John Greene Logistics Co. Dana Bob is the promotions director. Everything looks like we have just had the biggest stroke of luck ever - except the letterhead, see if you spot it: INTER AMERICAN PRMOTIONS INC. I love to read and right and so I spotted it as soon as I looked at it. PROMOTIONS is missing the O, Naturally there is no such thing when you google prmotions...and the businesses listed at the Owen Sound, ON was a couple of hair places, an old blades meeting place, a handicapped assistance business and something else but no inter american prmotions or powerball anything......beware and research before you get taken in by this or something just like it.

And write - right lol don't get sucked in by the scammers

ok we call folks stupid and greedy,,,,when is someone going to put a stop tothis [***].  I know of some folks who tried to get my granny...and harrassed her so much that we had to have her phone number changed.  Someone need to put an end to this.

I got this letter today and was very suspicious! It was addressed to my husband who does not even have a cell phone and never does any of the shopping. All our awards cards are in my name. The fact that there are three different business and many different address made me come straight to Google. Thank you everyone for you alerting others to this scam..

got the check call the number,told to call after I deposited it in my account. once I did that call them back and.i would recevce. the remaining amount.i told him I needed all if not keep it.do something good with it. phone 1-416-830-5446

I got the same letter that I have won 125000.00 and a check for 3,875.00and a phone number 1-416-830-5446 Direct line and I must deposit the check in to my account and call him back to give me more details on the letter this program is sponsored by Wal-Mart group, k-mart,Hsbc,costco,sears.amx,Home depot,bmo, td Financial, scotia bank president choice target lowes Walgreen jc penny HBC and many others

Forgot to mention that WATERHOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICE  aka International lottery Service has obtained an "F" rating from the BBB
66 Wellington St E Toronto ON is the location of Toronto Dominion Centre (Bank)
66 Wellington St W Toronto ON is the location for a Bymark restaurant.
So, they're probably hiding in plain sight at the bank listed, doubt if they're running the scam from a restaurant

Will find out who to send the letter and check too in US Government.
I also get calls from Jamaica.  Must have received at 30 so far, also from Arizona, and other states.  You really have to check all calls and mail now. Thank goodness we have someplace to go to check these scams.

My friend received this letter plus a phone call all in one day. When he told me about this I am sorry to say I told him Do not cash this check! Then is am he said that he was going to go to the bank later. I told him if he went to the bank that it would be stupid on his part! Everyone who has ever set money to these frauds are just asking to be taken. He has us so deep in debt now because he actually believe what they tell you in these letters. He says well I am a winner but the money never comes. He is older and hoping to be out of debt but this isn't the way to do it.
There should be a way to prosecute these people.
