I received the same letter.  The check looks so real.  I had received one before and took it to the bank so they could investigate it.  They told me to take anymore to them as well.  These people want you to pay the taxes first before you cash the check.  Right then you should be suspicious.  I wonder how many people actually do it.  They must be successful because they keep sending them out.  Let's all do our part to catch these criminals.

On June 3rd, 2013, I received a letter from Inter-American Promotions Inc stating that I won the "INTER-AMERICAN LOTTO POWERBALL held in the United Kingdom on April 12th, 2013." And that I'm entitled to receive the sum of $175,000 US money. And they also enclosed a check for $3,880.00 drawn out of the winnings to enable you (me) pay the nonresident tax/Admin fees to the UK government.

The check was supposedly issued by 'JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Syracuse, NY.'  I called a branch at Phone # 315-476-0987 and spoke with Ashley and reported this to her. She asked me several questions and stated "this is a freudulent check and we are aware of this; just rip check up."

How deflating when you already seeing yourself paying off your mortgage, bills and giving some money to the church!  What a *SCAM*!!!!  ... (that you could loose your savings, if you believe it's real and deposit this check. I almost did deposit it; and I would have lost money --- not won money. It's a shame that there are people who will steal and hurt people by this presumed scam per Ashley.  Beware, Joan Lev./ PA

I was born in a country were this scams was rampant. Do not get lust of their deadly offer. They need to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Personal Savior.

Funny:I received a letter from Pamela Ross with a number to call when I deposited the $3920 check made out from Fedex Corporation Retirement Plans.  I gave the letter and the check to the bank.  They did some investigating and called to say that it was a scam.  I also received a letter from Andrew Goldberg from Publishers Clearing House telling me that I have won $650,000Us    and I was to call a Dave Thompson to get my winnings.  I called the number for Dave Thompson and goe a voice mail.  I called PCH and they said that this was a scam.  I have been getting calls from Kingston, Jamaica, for a year saying I had won several million, cash and a Mercedes car.  I told them to drive the car to my home and I would give them there delivery fee.  I have not received anything but so many telephone calls that we were forced to change our phone number that we have had for 46 years.  I have enjoyed all of your notes regarding the frauds. Thank you very much for sharing!
