- Again....Again, I buy something from GoDaddy and the calls start. This caller calling me multiple time yesterday and just hangs up. Today the caller says: "Hello, XXX, can you hear me? " Sounds like the "yes scam campaign".
- Christy M replies to Kelly JoI'm getting a ton of spam calls since I bought domains from godaddy a few days ago. So, it's not just hostgator. I've gotten 6 calls from this number today.
- KS2 Problema replies to MichelleI just renewed some domains and got a call from the same #. Now blocked. =)
- LeoDevinci replies to Kelly Jome too! Godaddy is not better at all. I had these [***] calling me from all over the country and getting spam emails like never before. It's just insane! shame on GoDaddy and all these domain sellers who submit you to this just because you did not pay their "privacy protection" additional fee. Not only they are profiting from you buying your domain through them but they don't have the decency not to sell your info to third parties
- ben abeytaI got a call from this number telling me something was wrong with my account and that they worked FOR GOOGLE. I specifically asked them if they were trying to sell something to me, or sign me up for something and they said no. I asked them why they were calling. I then asked again who they were and they gave me a fake name.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RandyB305I just registered a new domain a couple days ago myself, and now this number calls me. Didn't say anything when I answered.

- Drew replies to Former GoDaddy UserEvery registrar has to post your personal details - it's required by ICANN. Most, including GoDaddy allow you to pay a small fee and make your info private, basically by substituting their info for yours - and all registrars charge for this service, not just GoDaddy. I am all for criticizing GoDaddy as they did wrong by me, but at least do it on something that is legit. This is them following the rules for all registrars.
- Drew replies to NickAgree with Tim - never use fake info, otherwise you are in violation of ICANN rules and can have your domain taken from you. Pay the $8 - it's not that much money.
- Sera replies to Kelly JoI registered with Go Daddy and I'm still getting the same call.
- HP| 2 repliesRegistered for a godaddy.com domain and the calls are nonstop now. Always a random number from a different state and they never leave a message. Really stinks that godaddy.com does this.
- Phyllis replies to HP| 1 replyI don't know if it's connected to godaddy.com but I just registered a domain 2-3 days ago and got a call today.
- BigA replies to PhyllisUnfortunately, if you did not sign up for the privacy service, your registration information is public knowledge and these crooks use bots to harvest the information so that they can call. you. On the other hand using the privacy service makes it look like you have something to hide. Catch-22.
- Floyd BakerThis number (469 294 3890) just rang me and while the tape was running I punched the number up and came up with this
page... Nice to have... I've gotten emails too from people talking about recently purchased websites too...Same kind of thing. I'm sure they're hackers looking for info...
Because of all these calls, I have recording on my answering device that says I may or may not be home... If I'm home I'm not answering because I don't recognize who you are... So identify yourself and I may pick up... They never do. :)- Caller: ?
