- Ha replies to anonymousI've asked every time they call to be removed fro their list and guess what...they keep calling. I just received two calls from them today. In this case yes it is acceptable to be rude to them. Next time they call i will no longer be nice.
- MeSTUPID TELEMARKETER.

- SKN68Well the common theme is that we all have GoDaddy accounts...so they can keep calling and I will continue to send them to VM. Just glad I know now. I assume we can call them and tell then to stop...

- You're a [***] replies to John DoeExcept that they don't have the contact numbers they are reaching us on, and cell numbers aren't listed as public. Try again, idiot.
- BK replies to Morf_AlmightyYou have got to be kidding. This is Go Daddy calling you. I've been on Go Daddy for years and they call from time to time for marketing or customer satisfaction inquiries...and yes my domains are private.
You all need to take a pill and get a life. Not every call is a scam. - BK replies to BlahhhNot all phone numbers will receive incoming calls. Have you never worked with a company that operates a call center? You need some education on how multi-line systems are set up.
This is GoDaddy calling you. - AnnJust had a call from this number. Caller ID said GoDaddy and no one was there. Please stop wasting my time.

- Paul-QuigleyI see a ton of people stating this 480-505-8859 number as belonging to GoDaddy. My domain has been registered through GoDaddy for years, and they've never called me about anything. The only contact I've ever had has been via email for renewals, that's all.
Be your own judge, but I have no need nor did I request to speak to anyone, about anything, from GoDaddy. I've done a reverse search for this number showing no results. If it was truly a reputable company such as GoDaddy, it would show. So as far as I'm concerned... it's a scammer. - JJI just called GoDaddy ( I have been with them for years) and gave them the number. He said it is a number of theirs to cal when domains are expiring, etc. So he did confirm and it is an "Outgoing" number they use to call current customers.

- WriterI have a few domains with GoDaddy. Recently, my credit card info was potentially "compromised," therefore, I had to get a new credit card. And that was the card I had on file with GoDaddy, who automatically deducts payments out each month. Well, I had forgotten to inform them that the credit card they had on file had been canceled , so when they attempted to charge it, they weren't able to. But I only received an EMAIL from them asking me to update my payment information and they provided a link which I confirmed was, indeed, legitimately GoDaddy. I had no reason to believe this was a scam email. I went to the link and updated my payment info from there.
I do find it ironic that as soon as all this started, I get a call from this number. Did this caller somehow know that my payment information did not go through and was trying to get me to give info over the phone? Most possibly. These people are very, very clever. But I know better than to EVER give out ANY information over the phone. Just don't do it. - TonyI think this is an illegal call. They called me about my account, which after reading about the TCPA is fine since I put my cell phone on the contact form, but then they asked me if I want more services, that is now solicitation, or what is referred to as a dual purpose call I guess... There was a site I stumbled on last week when someone called me on 9513245077 that would let you if the call was illegal once you pull all the details in but I can't for the life of me find that site now. Anyone know what that is?

- Avenger replies to Morf_Almighty| 3 repliesDorkhead. See what you started? Some people actually believe you! I swear to dirt, either people are completely naive and stupid or they are paranoid to the point of locking themselves in the bathroom. How did this country get to be the most powerful one on the planet anyway? Oh yeah, our forefathers made a pact with God. Well, that's just about over now due to our complete moronic stupidity, arrogance and the breaking of the covenant. Expect to be nuked at any time. If you want to know how this magnificent but sad tale works out just read in the Bible about what happened to the ancient Jews. Our story pretty much parallels theirs exactly. Dumb*hits.
People, pull your heads out of your a**es and smell the air. It's GoDaddy, pure and simple.... - BiggsOver the last couple of weeks I have bought a couple of new domain names and let a couple of domain names expire - all through godaddy. They called to make sure everything was on the up and up and to see if I needed any assistance with anything. It was a pleasant, professional and quick phone call. I'd rather they call to confirm account actions are legit than be clueless if something bad happens.
Of course they ask if you need more services. Every Business 101 class ever taught dictates that if you have a customer on the phone, ask if you can help them with anything else. If you don't need anything - say "I'm Good".
They did call a couple of times without leaving a message, but really who doesn't do that.- Caller: GoDaddy
- AnonymousIt *IS* indeed GoDaddy. While many here might have also had a call from a scam operator who spoofed the number, it is also their number. I got a call today from this number on my business phone (I am also a reseller for them) and it didn't make it past the Auto-Attendant. I did call them back and they ALWAYS ask for your member ID and your call in PIN. They cannot access your account without those items. I know this from dealing with them quite a lot as a reseller of their products.
They did show that they called to verify whether or not I was renewing several domains I had expiring in the next month or so. I asked her whether or not she showed them on "auto-renew", as only GoDaddy would have that information. She accurately told me which domains were on auto-renew and which were not.
Long and short of it is...this *IS* GoDaddy's support telephone line, and while some people might have been called by another person spoofing GoDaddy's number, everyone needs to stay vigilant regarding their privacy. By the way, if you don't know your member ID they also will ask for the last 8 digits of your credit card. Since there are at least 16 numbers on your average credit card, the last eight will give them nothing to work with.- Caller: GoDaddy

- Mark G. replies to anonymousThat does not usually work, some callers get annoyed when you try to tell them not to call them anymore and hang up. Some are more professional, but at times it still does not work and they do not remove you.
I have been getting calls from this number incessantly and have not been able to actually speak to a person to tell them to remove me.
