got one unanswered call from this number yesterday and two today, one in the morning and one right before I got off work. None have been answered since it was my cell at work. anybody else have info?

I called the number back and it was Adam from Wells Fargo Bank and he immedaitely asked for my account number.  I hung up and logged onto my account asap to see if there were any illegal charges to my account and then sent an email asking WF if this is a valid phone number for their Card Services.  I have yet to receive a reply.

Response from Wells Fargo :

We are writing regarding your recent inquiry about your account.

Our records indicate there have not been any calls from our office to you.

If we can be of further assistance, please email us or call us at 1-800-642-4720.

The Caller did not say anything.  Just hung up.

I got a call from this number today, too. It's on my home phone, which emails me when I get a message. I called it back and no answer. No actual message on the VM, just a recording of a hang-up. Reading some of the other posts, I have to wonder about it because someone mentioned WF Card Services. I don't have a WF card, but I do have a WF auto loan; when I called them, they said the call was not from them.

Keep getting calls from this number. They only let it ring once and I never get a message.

Two hang up calls to my cell phone, Sat (8/18) afternoon and Sunday (8/19) am. The wells connection makes me nervous as my banking is done on line...

I got a call from this number today...its was at like 7 in the morning so i didnt answer,and they didnt leave a voicemail or anything...i live in tx so the area code wasnt familiar anyway...also, i have a wells fargo credit card..funny that everyone else mentioned wells fargo in their memos..

This number has been calling us too, on unlisted cell phone in the LA area, CA, and they never leave a message.

Recommendation: Never answer ANY caller whom you do not know, and who is not in your personal phone / address book on your phone.

If they are "legitimate," they will leave a message.

CAUTION:  Banks, credit card companies and legit businesses NEVER will phone you OR EMAIL YOU and ask for your account number or ANY OTHER ID INFO.
WHY? They already have it. Do NOT fall for the CON ARTIST who will clean ou your accounts and/or set up new credit in your name and RUIN YOU!!

On 10/10 I got 3 phone calls to my cell from 1-503-403-2665. All three morning, day , and night did not leave a message. on 10/9 1-503-403-2674 called once. Odd cause i use to have a WF account.

I received a call from this number this morning.  My phone said it was an Oregon number.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  Being the paranoid sort I've come to check this site regularly when I receive odd calls.  After reading the other posts I'm convinced this is a person scamming Wells Fargo customers.  I would add that four years ago I received a notice from WF stating that some of their computers on the campus of the University of North Texas (where I was attending) had been stolen and that they contained some information about me in regards to my student loans.  I'm uncertain if there is any correlation but I thought I'd mention the incident in case anyone else had experienced a similarly [***] lack of security on the part of those Wagon Jockeys.

I received about 5 calls a day from 503-403-2665 on my cell number.  I finally called back because they never leave a message, and i got someone that answered that said wellsfargo card services.  I don't have an account with WF, so i told her to remove the number from the call list, she took the number and said she would remove it, asked for my name, which is irrelevant...but she didn't ask for any other info and apologized for the call, but based on the above, sounds like a fishing call, so be wary and call the bank directly if anyone at this number asks you for information.

Same deal, called several times, wouldn't leave a message. when called, answered with the WF card services, and asked whom my roomate was....and from there, they got hung up on.

Thinking about setting my auto-dialer to that number to keep it spammed out. Maybe later.

they have been calling for days now between 0700hrs and 2100hrs.  i finally called them back today and got such a sweet girl on the phone.  she assured me that if i could just give her my accnt info she would be able to help me take care of issue with my WF c.c.  I called WF and verifed the phone number was not real.

I got the call today at 8am. woke me up so i didnt answer it, well i called it back and got the samething everyone elsedid, luckly i checked up on the number and found this post before calling back. i called WF and they called the number and that was that.

Numerous calls from this number.  I never answer.  Dohave a Wells Fargo account but am closing it.

Three calls today from this number.  I also have Wells Fargo accounts.

I get calls from them some times and no one ever leaves a message. I have a wells account, too... I called them back and it was a recorded message saying that it's wells fargo and they need your CARD NUMBER and then they will direct you to a banker. Wells fargo always asks for your account number but maybe it's for a different branch. I called WF and the woman said she called the number and reached their automated message, so she thought it was from someone's desk...

Just got a call. No message left. I have WF accounts as well. CA. 11:30AM
