I just got off the phone with Well Fargo and they are saying that this is a scam number and to not give them any information.

I've received these calls intermittantly for three months now.  I do not have a WF account so there goes the late payment theory!!

They never leave a message and somethimes call multiple times a day, sometimes as late as 9:00pm at night!

My number is also listed on the do not call list.. I wonder if a complaint to the Orgeon AG's office would do any good...

I received two calls from this number on 12-10-08.  My cell rang twice then disconnected.  This happened twice.  I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know.

I got a call from this number, but didn't answer it.  I was late on my cc payment that I just payed today.  Weird quiescence if they were calling about my late payment.  How do they know about my account?

Same deal with me - 2 calls last night from "wells fargo card services."  The recording prompted me to enter "1" if I was "(my name)."  I just hung up.  Same # called back a couple hours later and then just hung up.

Obviously my Wells fargo information has been compromised if they know my # and also my name.

I suspect this is indeed a PHISHING scam!

I don't pick up because I have caller ID, but I get this call daily and sometimes twice a day.  It's been going on for a few weeks.  Never before 8 AM or after 9 PM.

Just recieved a third phone call from this number today. 4:04p, 5:34p, 7:05p. I tried calling it back and it was just a dead line. I have a wells fargo acct as well. I am about to let them go because there have been other instances of wells fargo scams. My sister got letters in the mail with the WF letterhead about her acct and she must call some number immediately. She called WF because she doesn't even have an acct with them.

I fail to see how it's Wells Fargo's fault that computers at your school (which were not owned by them) were stolen. I fail to see how anything about this constitutes a lack of security on their part.

Phishers will do whatever they can to get your information, including lie, cheat, and yes, steal. If anyone is at fault, it's your school for not better protecting the information of their students.

I've received several calls from this number, as well as from 503-403-2660. If Wells Fargo had a reason to contact me, they would contact me using a person.  I've also received email surveys from m080455help@morpace.com regarding my account.  All seem fishy to me.

I get calls from this number all the time. Usually there is no one there. After reading all the accounts that this is fraud. I again answered the phone a guy asked for me by name and my husband by name, he said he was from Wells Fargo. I told him he had the wrong number. This number also calls my cell phone several times daily. It started when I had a good amount of money in the account. I have a business account with Wells Fargo, so it cannot be a residential account number. Beware, they cannot be for real.

Got a phone call from this number, let it go to voice mail, but no vm was left. When it called back later, I answered and there was no one there, so I just hung up.

the 503-403-2674 number has called my cell about 12 times in total over 3 days i called wells fargo they deny owning that number and claim it is a scam well ill  believe that due to the fact that i have never banked at the fargo b4 so do not send any info its really a scam

This IS NOT a legitimate operation, or at the very least there is SIGNIFICANT REASON not to trust this number.  Consider the following:

A representative from WellsFargo with whom I was speaking with face to face informed me that this number is in no way connected to WellsFargo.  

I was robbed about 3 weeks ago and just started getting these calls immediately after.

Initially after getting robbed, I got a phone call telling me that I was several hundred dollars overdrawn on my account and asking if I would make a payment.  I had canceled three accounts several days before.  Worried about what was happening, I called the bank teller that I'd worked with and she verified that everything in my account was in good shape and that WellsFargo was not attempting to contact me.

I think they have the same recorded telephone call answering system as the well-known WellsFargo phone system to make them seem legitimately part of WellsFargo.  This would be easy to duplicate.

Also, they give the well-known and legit WellsFargo 800 phone number out as reassurance that they are part of WellsFargo, but then continue to ask for your account information even while you explain to them that you're wary of the veracity of their operation and tell you you don't need to call that 800 number.  This is strikingly at odds with most of my other WellsFargo experiences.

This is just too much of a coincidence and not at all worth the security risk of giving your account and financial information to some person who calls you from Oregon.  If you have an outstanding balance due, be sure to make payments directly with the bank or with the 800 WellsFargo number and not this number.

Yeah, I am getting this same call for the last few days. Oddly enough, everytime it starts at noon and calls every hour and a half, pretty much on the dot. I figured it was automated and also noted that the call will always last for 7 secs before it hangs up. Anyway to block it?

I've received this call # three times in two days but I did not answer them. I got online to check the area code and it's from Oregon State. I do not know anyone from there. Then I read all the posts and I don't think Wells Fargo would use this area code to call their customers. It's a scam!

This is a fake number. It's an unpublished LAN line therefore they are not with Wells Fargo.I bank with Wells Fargo and they only send statements via email and would not call my phone. I got left the very end of a random automated recording from this number and said they wanted to reach me stating my name and  if "he" could. my bank knows im female. I know im female, so this number needs to be shut down or tracked down to leave people alone.

The calls are coming from Beaverton, Oregon.  Apparently Wells Fargo has a department in Beaverton that deals with delinquent accounts.  They use an auto dialer to contact either the customer directly or a reference of the customer.  I spoke to two local branches of WF and they stated these calls were scams.  However, I verified the existence of the Wells Fargo Loss Prevention Department in Beaverton, Oregon through their own web site.  This address will take you to the Wells Fargo Career search page: https://employment.wellsfargo.com/psp/PSEA/AP ... HRAM.HRS_CE.GBL.  Search all the jobs available in Oregon and you will find jobs under the title Collector.  The jobs are located in Beaverton.  While at first I thought that the calls are a scam, now I am not so sure.  Either way, don't give the 503 number any information.  Call the 800 number to Wells Fargo instead.

Thank you ALL for your input.  I started getting these calls since yesterday, it is an Oregon area code. I thought it might be someone I know, decided to go online, and here I am,found you and all the comments about this issue.

For a moment I thought my cell # was being used to "fish" and connect international calls...

Oregon call which doesn't leave a message.  I do not answer anything I'm not familiar with. Posts on this site say it is a Wells Fargo scam.
