Calls multiple times each day.  Unwanted.

I didnt answer the call, but after seeing people talking about Wells Fargo on here, I realized that I forgot to make my credit card payment.

What most of the responders seem to have overlooked in your message is that the caller asked YOU for your a/c number.

If it was legitimately Wells Fargo, they, DUH!, already have you a/c number, and don't need to ask such a question.

It's probably a scam, since they asked you for info they already have.

However, if you're unsure, call Wells Fargo at their 800# and verify that there is or is not a problem with your bank account.

My rule of thumb is:  Never give your personal information out to someone you don't know.

This company calls every single day. I don't have a Wells Fargo Account. Only a Home Loan. They hang up when I answer.

These calls are unwanted and I wish there was some way I could make them stop!

It is Wells Fargo. Just got the call... their's is the bill I always seem to forget about. Anyhow, for those saying "but I don't have an account with them"... that doesn't mean isn't WF calling about a bill - maybe someone changed their phone # on their account to avoid collection calls.

please please and  please don't call me again i have nothing with wells for go. some my cousin give this number to you but now she is not here. it is wast of time for you and me. this is my business phone number it really bother my. i get 4 to 5 calls every day please please don't call please don't call as a humane being i request this and please don't call me any more it won't solve any problem

Accidental overdraft on my Wells Fargo Credit Card... This was my bank, did not as for the account number just asked if I would like to transfer from Checking to pay for it... Confirmed the transfer and no issues...

This  number just dialed me... and they left a voice mail. It was card services from Wells Fargo -- the same voice that leaves a message every time I'm late on my credit card payment. I went to the website, and sure enough, I missed the payment deadline. It is legitimate. You have to remember, a lot of places (like creditors and doctors) won't leave messages without your prior approval in case they've gotten the wrong number due to privacy laws. Imagine they misdialed, and called some scumbag saying ...this is Wells Fargo calling about your account, is John Smith there? And scumbag pretends to be you and all of a sudden has access to your account, maybe even changing your email or mailing address with them.

this is wells fargo letting you know that your bill is due or close to a late charge.

If its not a scam they why do they hang up when I answer they been calling me at work and I put through my personal phone line and let it go to VM when they have called and ask for me now they call and hang up and they hang up when a co worker answers that line

This number has called me 10+ times a day for the past 5 days
I do not have an account at Wells Fargo!!!!!!!

This number calls me 3 to 4 times a day and i would like it to stop!

This number called me at 8am this morning. I didn't answer. I see people are claiming it is Wells Fargo. I don't understand why a legitimate business is using a auto dialer, which is against the law? Plus I do not have any accounts with Wells Fargo, and I never will!

The new rules require that telemarketers first obtain your written consent to receive such calls or messages, on paper or through electronic means, including website forms, a telephone keypress, or a recording of your oral consent.

I have also been recieving multiple calls from this number.  I just added it to my blocked list through my cell carrier (Verizon).  I hope it works.  

Very clever scam call. Claim to be Wells Fargo Fraud alert. I called Wells Fargo directly who said this number was fake.

Yes, this is a Wells Fargo number, but its legit. My husband and I are going through the mortgage approval process and our landlord was given this number to call to provide a verbal VOR (Verification of Rental) so we can get through underwriting. If you are a landlord, you might want to check with your renters to be on the safe side.
