This number is an automated call system (503) 403-2674. The system calls the number that was provided by a person when opening an account with WF. So if you call it back and get dead air, you can wait for a few seconds and another automated (recorded voice) asks for your WF account #. If you speak "I don't know" then you will go to a live body after a few moments/minutes. I confirmed that it is for residential accounts as it was for one of my employees and not the business account (I provied the phone # it called not an account #). If you have to pay for long distance, call WF back on the 800#.

I have received calls from this number 1-503-403-2674 everday for the past week.  I have not answered it and they never leave a message.
After reading some of the posts as to who is calling (Wells Fargo)
I can't figure out why they would be calling here.  I don't have a Wells Fargo account anywhere and never had.  So who knows who they are.  If they ask me for my account number for Wells Fargo they will be out of luck since I have never done business with that company.
Glad to know I am not the only person receiving these calls.

I recvd call twice this morning. I also have a wells Fargo acct. Kind of worried now.

I work collections, so i called and spoke to someone there. Apparently they were looking for a carol genco and somehow got my cell. This has the mo of a collections call center. The company i work for also uses diferent numbers across the us.

This person is obviously in on the scam. This is not a Wells Fargo number. Do not give them any information. This is a scam!

They called again, I gave them no information and a pre recorded message asked me if i was going to make a payment on my credit card. No big deal.

got a call from this # too.  I also make a habit of not answerign calls from numbers I dont know, even blocked numbers.  They didnt leave a message so I looked it up.  Also have WF....  hopefully this doesnt continue to happen but seeing as it has been goign on since september it's wishful thinking...

I called back the number and got the Wells Fargo message asking me for my credit card number. (I don't have a Wells Fargo account) At the same time I read the comments on this web site. After several transfers, there was a live person on the other end. She quickly asked for my credit card number two or three times. I had the phone speaker on and did not respond. She then said that if I have and questions to call the 800 number (of Wells Fargo) and she hung up. Spooky.

These [***] called me at 5:45am this morning, and then again at 6am. I called back at it was a recorded message from "Wells Fargo" asking for my account number. Not cool

I get calls from this number everyday since January 11, 2008. I don't even think I have a WF account, I'm only in the 7th grade. They keep calling me. It's getting really irritating. They call like 2-3 times a dayyy.

This person calls and hangs up at all times of the day. My phone rings once and they just hang up.

Yeah...got 3 calls today from this number, same deal, no message left.  I used to have a Wells Account as well....damn scammers!

I got one of these too, on my cell; I hardly ever get cell phone calls.  Immediate hang-up after only one ring and my answer.  I don't have a Wells Fargo account.  And I am not behind in paying ANY bills, other than crazy T-Mobile, my cell phone co., who can't straighten out THEIR continuing to charge my expired credit card when I've given them the new one and its new expiration date repeated times--like every month since Sept. 2007.

I received a call from this number today for the first time, and did not answer it... but checked here instead!

If this is/was Wells Fargo, where I do have 2 credit accounts with, and honestly have to say I've overlooked them in the past (honest oversight) - then I wish they would leave a voicemail.

What frosts me is that if I am behind on a bill, and it does happen for various reasons, then leave a message!

Ah.. just got this call, answered it, just some short silence then a hangup.  Checked my WF account and RATS I forgot to make my damn March 4th payment for the credit line.  Oregon pwns us!

I also have been calls from this number for 2 days now.  I haven't answered, but I think i will answer today to see what the person says. I also am a wells fargo customer.

I have just begun to receive the same phone calls....I don't answer, let it ring, but they hang up before it goes to voicemail...I decided to google search it and this webpage came up. Thank you all for posting your experience.

7 calls from this number today! I dont have anything through WF so I called their 800# after reading this- not the 503. Had the rep run my SS# just to make sure I'm not in their system anywhere. Kind of creepy, but my cell can block.

They call all times of the day and never leave a message.
