I have been receiving these calls for two weeks  One time a message was left saying it was Wells Fargo wanting me to call back with my personal info.. No Way I'm tired of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

started getting these calls, like some people have said it's a scam I have never had a Wells Fargo account, nor wanted one

Got a call from this number, but did not answer since the caller id was UNKNOWN NAME. I also noticed that they have called 4 times before, so I blocked the number.

I received 5 calls in a row today from this number. I did not answer or call them back. What concerns me is I am not late on any payments w/Wells Fargo, but before Wells Fargo bought out
Wachovia I never received calls from anyone saying I owe money or hang up daily.

It is a legitimate company hired by Wells Fargo to call people who are past due to ask you to pay. If you feel it's a scam, then you can go into a branch and make a payment or do so online. You are not required to talk top them. I perswoanlly do not like receiving 5 calls in 5 minutes. I liked the way Wachovia handled their customers.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the last week.  They say they are from Wells Fargo but it's actually a scam.  I just closed my accounts from Wells Fargo because my debit card has been compromised.  What's up with Wells Fargo card scams?  My co-workers are having the same problem with them too.  Is Wells Fargo on the brink of closure?

It is not a scam. You need to call wells fargo and fix your account

this number keep scalling everyday including wee hours in the morning and doesn't leave a message.  i don't know this number. if this is a scam call or prank call or marketing call..leave us alone! not interested!

Message left on my cell phone.  I don't have a account with Wells Fargo,  the automated message was that  my card was on hold and to  press one to release hold.

I received a call from this number at 9:20 A.M. this morning: October 14, 2011. I called Wells Fargo to alert them - and said that I was their customer and that they should clear up their "good name" by going after the scammer. These complaints are over a year old, and no one has shut the phishers down, have they? I complained to the the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY on line, and you know they won't get off their [***], either.

check online to see if your c/c account is past due.  I am usually on top of my bills but this one slipped through the cracks... the calls stop when you pay online.  This is assuming that is the reason they are calling.  It worked for me

I didn't answer the call, looked up the number online saw what people posted and then looked at my account.....this is how I found out I was past due.  And yes the calls did stop...  I never answer calls that I do not know...that is what voicemail is for!!

I got the number turned to the FTC and they will be abel to take care. I've had these kinda calls befor and thats how you handle them.

I have no Wells Fargo account and neither does anyone at my address ever.

Scam artists and politcal ads are taking over my phone. I've had to unplug it. That's bull.

I received four calls today, three of them in less than four hours.  I remember reading a news report from a reporter in Oregon about this scam and he said to report it to the Oregon Attorney General. Does anyone in this area remember the reporter, newspaper and story?  There were several 503 numbers being used and an 8++ series of numbers .   Would be interested in knowing if there was a followup story.

anyhow, even if it's not a scam you should not have to give out any information at all, if you have any account problems with WF, call your local bank and check. I've received 3 calls from 503-403-2675 just this morning. I will definitely not give any info to someone on the phone.

I received a call from this number yesterday and twice today. Rather than call it back right away, I googled a search on the number and found this link. I called the number afterwards and the automated message asked for my account number and I said "I don't know". It then connected me to a rep and asked the same thing. I said I heard they're a scam and she said they're not. I then hung up. Afterwards, I checked my WF online statement and did find I was past due on my secured card. So I called the 1800 number from my statement that came in the mail and got them to reverse the $25 late fee. I then asked about the number and they confirmed to me that it is legit. So, I really don't know what to tell you guys that are saying it's a scam. I guess all I can say is if you don't wanna give your info to them when they call, just call the 800 number on your card and find out what's going on.

Same thing as most.  I received this call from an unknown caller.  I called the Wells Fargo 800 number.  They also called this number and were surprised to hear the Wells Fargo "jingle".  They looked up my information as I was previously a Wells Fargo customer and had closed out all of my accounts in good standing.  They said everything was closed and in good order and said not to reply to this number, or particularly any automated service like this.  Furthermore, I have blocked this number from my phone.
