- AGAll of a sudden got calls from this number about 3 days ago and they won't stop...all hours of the day and night! Make it stop!!!
- BG56Been getting an average of 4 calls a day on my cell from either 503-403-2665 or 2674. I called my wireless carrier and got them to block the calls for 90 days. No charge for this.
- HHOk, here's what I think is going on. I had a due payment on a credit card for the first time EVER with Wells Fargo (simply forgot to send it). I immediately started getting calls from this 503 403 2674 number. I called Wells back at the 800 number, and they say they know nothing about it (the number). After pleading their innocence (and their inability to do anything about it, according to them) they ask for your account number to see your account. They then ask you to make a pmt on your card. Great scheme if this is true -- hassle people non-stop, then pretend not to know what's going on when you call them at the "real" number. They can then be both bad guy and "good" guy, by feigning ignorance of the harassing calls. I'm moving my money away from these scumbags. http://moveyourmoney.info/
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- spoo| 2 repliesreceived about 4 calls per day (did not answer, because i did not recognized the number) for past two days.
googled the area code. Oregon.
called the number on the back of my Wells Fargo statements (official number) and told them. they told me it might be a collection agency in Oregon. i told them that they call 5-10 times daily (after reading all of the posts here) and that they ask strange questions about account, and that this is happening to lots of people. i also mentioned that, in the past i've only been late on a payment for 1 day and Wells Fargo has NEVER called me. the Wells Fargo account person told me she would forward this information to her superiors. i also told her it is helpful to Google search the phone number, so they can see how much harrassment is going on.
hopefully they will fix it soon. in the meantime, i might go get this number blocked if they call me again today. - spoo replies to spoo| 1 replybtw, Wells Fargo normally:
1) NEVER calls you (it will show up in your monthly statement w/late fee
instead
2) doesn't need your account number (they have it if they have your
contact)
3) would leave a message. when i had a possible credit card stolen, they
left a message saying that it was WF and possible credit card
problems were found and call them back asap. they did NOT specify a
number, because they know i have the official number on every
statement, etc.
for all of the above reasons, this is why this is all very suspicious and does not seem legitimate. - spoo replies to spooREPORT THIS TO THE FTC USING THIS FORM!!!
I just reported this to Wells Fargo (not helpful) and also submitted an anonymous report of possible phone fraud to the FTC using the site below.

- Just another victimThere appears to be several common issues with the following numbers (which have been listed here in ascending order): 503-403-2665,
...2674,
2691,
2694,
2697
-- they all originate from Beaverton, Oregon.
In reading through all the complaints (detailed throughout the various internet boards regarding these numbers), Wells Fargo Bank has been identified as the originator -- either through a credit card collection department, or as an overdraft department. Yet many complainers have contacted Wells Fargo directly and the bank has disclaimed all responsibility. Moreover, many complainers have never done business with Wells Fargo in the first place.
One could infer from the above several things.
First of all, whoever is calling has the ability to move easily through Beaverton's 2600 exchange e.g. 2665, 2674, 2691, 2694, 2695, 2697 yet does not remain on line whenever a victim inquires about the specifics of the business dealings, account numbers, or overdue balances. Secondly, the caller's method of operation is always the same: continuous calling throughout the day at perdictable hours over periods of weeks. Third, no complainer has ever received any follow up legal action nor has any complainer implied that he has received documents via US mail (though it is doubtful that a complainer would bother to return here to say that he had). None of this sounds as if it is the work of a legitimate collection agency.
Because of the above peculiarities, it would appear to me that the originator of these Beaverton, Oregon, calls is an internet prankster who has the ability to shift quickly from one number to another via computer hacking, and has probably hacked his way into our computers with some sort of spyware.
Lastly, it appears as if he has been doing this without penalty since 2007. This final point is very disconcerting because many complainers have filed complaints with the Do Not Call Registry. - Just more infoA search on the website http://Whitepages.com (for Oregon) produces several interesting facts regarding the Beaverton caller.
He uses the following telephone exchanges -- all with the prefix (503) 403 e.g. (503) 403-2686, ...2660, 2691, 2695, 2697, etc. (see the other numbers I mentioned above). Whitepages lists his carrier as MCImetro Access Transmission Services LLC, and lists ALL of his exchanges as "unpublished" ID. Whitepages also shows a small map detail of a location along Oregon Route 217, but that location is probably the location of MCImetro Access Transmission Services LLC, the carrier.
There have been complainers who have implied that calling the following two Wells Fargo numbers and then requesting to be removed from the callers Call List will produce satisfactory results, however I seriously doubt that that will achieve success as there have been almost as many complainers who have tried that approach only to discover later that his calls have been rerouted to another of his exchanges. Those numbers are: 800-988-8019 and 877-673-2256.
Because this has been going on since 2007 and the Do Not Call Registry has done nothing about it, the caller must be some sort of legitimate enterprise, or the Do Not Call Registry is an absolute joke.- Caller: possibly Wells Fargo

- Deb replies to Jen| 3 repliesI just Called Wells Fargo via a legit 1-800 number and told them about both the 503-403-2660 and 503-403-2674 numbers that I have been getting called by; The gentleman was very helpful and told me that those were indeed Wells Fargo numbers, he even called them himself. These are NOT scams. Wells Fargo asks for your account number or Card Number to access your info.
- Happening to me tooI have gotten 3 of these calls so far today. All three only rung two to three times, then hung up. Left no message. I typed the number into google and got this. So I called the number, just got some odd wells fargo music I havent heard and it asked for my account number. It didnt sound like the usual Wells Fargo. I have my bank account and cc with them, which by coincidence, has a balance that was not paid in full by mistake, which we just learned today when we logged in to view our account. It has only been 1 day, and money was paid. I think its odd that if it is them, that they are harassing me over a little money after 1 day! And why wouldnt they leave a voicemail? It just sounds fishy to me. If it is them, they are a horrible company, very unprofessional.
- Caller: Maybe wells Fargo?
- RennisRe: 503-403-2674
I have recieved several calls only on my cell phone mostly during the day. Like all the other posts, there is never a voice mail msg. I have NEVER answered it since I am working and don't take cell calls ever while working. However, I DO NOT HAVE A W.F acct. I have Never done business with W.F.Bank And so I always delete them promptly since I don't know anyone in that area code zone. Thanks HEAPS for the information though. I will continue to delete the number and never answer that call.- Caller: Unknown
- maslibertadwe have been getting calls as well two in one day, very glad we looked this number up watch out and dont give them any information.
- LorThree calls today - Other websites suggest it is a phishing scam posing as Wells Fargo. I did not pick up and the call disconnected when the answering machine started.
- KateRec'd two calls this morning to my cell. Didn't answer b/c I didn't recognize the number. Going to write to WF and tell them if they don't do anything to get this shut down, I'll consider it partly their fault. They should be defending their corporate name over crap like this.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- jlhbird2 calls today. No messages, no answer. It's an unpublished number out of Beaverton, OR.
- WaltThey have been calling me about 5 times a day and no one answers even when I call back. What a pain, of course it isn't Wells Fargo, they wouldn't expect you to give your account number over the phone right off the bat. I hope someone figures how to stop this, I've tried everything.

- Cindy replies to Deb| 1 replyBULL...why do they need to access my info over the phone when they have all they need right at the bank? I get personal calls with the local bank # that comes up on my caller ID when they have a question.I know their names and voices..why would I give info to a # I don't recognize?
