- jjs| 1 replyHave been dealing with this company as they illegally obtained signatures from my mother when she had Alzheimer's disease. They faxed her at the home instead of the business with clauses stating if she did not respond within 30 days they contract would automatically renew. Now they are claiming since I make decisions for the business they are going to sue me. We agreed to pay $200 per month until the debt is paid. Boy, I wish I had not! She calls every 2 months repeatedly to renew this even after I have told her to continue the payments on electronic withdrawal for 12 mos. Then she states she cannot and is going to personally pursue a lawsuit against me. It is my parents business and I am volunteering my time to work there to help while we pay off my mother's medical bills and the business bills. Today, I was burying my dog after putting her to sleep from cancer. She called on a blocked line. I answered and she immediately started yelling at me about how many times she has called me. Two voicemails in the last week - no more. She spoke to my office manager, I have a recording. She had already authorized her to continue taking $200 withdrawals and they could take $175 this week. She would not accept that. So she calls me today. Told me my office manager was lying. She was lying about it - I have a recording! She lies every time she calls. She told me that I better start cooperating. I told her I still had the shovel in my hand from burying my dog and was not at work to look at the information and told her to call and talk to my manager who is there. She refused. She then asked if I was going to make a payment right now, I stated, I really didn't care since I had just buried my dog. She told me that I better get an attorney because I am listed as a guarantor of the debt and she was moving forward to sue me personally. So after months of threats after threats during my mothers illness and other tough times.....getting an attorney and its game on. I am reporting them to every entity possible. I have been pushed one to many times. CARLY JOHNSON - I am not going to stop until you are fired.

- bbobb replies to Timsame here...we had a budget for yellow book ads that we expressed to reps who would prepare an ad to meet that monthly budget...rep no. 10 in third year apparently didn't understand because we started being charged 50% more...tried calling rep who was no longer there...tried calling temporary rep who never called back...tried calling co. which is now called hibu...woman went nuts when i explained situation...started threatening court action...says she'll have my house,car,kids,dog...ignore these [***] when they call...their problems are self inflicted
- DI received a call about a week ago saying I owe a debt. I must have gotten the crazy lady some of you are talking about. She would not let me finish talking nor explain anything and then told me I was rude. I got so upset with her that I hung up. Today I got a call from her again saying since I did not send her proof that I didn't owe the debt she is going to start to proceed in sueing me. I don't even know for what. I have since tried calling the same number and like everyone else got a recording. I did leave two messages to call me back but after reading all of these I don't think I will hear from them.
The only thing I have not heard from anyone is if they actually can do any damage to your credit or get money from you?- Caller: Rauch-Milliken

- kristy replies to Bill R-Billerica, Ma| 2 repliesDid you you ever pay...I am in the same boat- yellow book promised all this crap and i refused to pay them.
- SW replies to SamBe careful about what you pursue. This company collects debts on business accounts only and as such does not fall under the fair debt collections practices act for consumers. It would fall under Uniform Commercial Code for commercial debt. Completely different laws.
- the educator| 1 replyIdiots. Learn the difference between fair debt and commercial debt. UCC & FDCPA.
- Caller: small failing businesses
- Gunnar replies to the educatorIdiots? Oh my, you really stepped into it now. I'll tell you what. Why don't you elaborate on your definitions. I'll stand back and wait for your response. Think slowly. Respond accordingly.
You are a fool if you think that you're going to be entering into a conversation with laymen. Tread lightly. You will be eaten alive if you so much as make a misstep.
This should be fun.....
Gunnar - The Russell Wilson Of Debt Collections| 1 replyDon't listen to all this craziness. As I said earlier, If you create a debt you need to pay it and stop looking for reasons not to pay it like using the FDCPA as a shield. If you need to verify a collections agency/ Attorney collecting against you all you have to do is call the original client and they will inform you of who they referred your debt to. Simple enough right! On the contrary all most all debtors like you reading this garbage on the internet for escape routes do not want to own up to their failures. It's only human. Oh yeah the FDCPA does not apply to commercial debt so stop bringing it up for your failing business.. Debtors use vulgar language, racial slurs and make threats to collectors but they want the collector to hand them a rose and 2 tickets to Cold Play. Get out of here! You catch bees with honey and flies with... I'm just saying. To get respect you have to give a little. I can assure you if you treat a debt collector with kindness you will get some in return. Even if this is not the case Just stay calm Like our president even when things are not in your favor. Better yet just hang up you do not have to take abuse from anyone calling you. Don't be surprised that is you did not address the matter it ends up on your credit report both personally, corporately and you are summons for court. Again it all falls back to you create a debt you pay it before it goes to collections and God forbid litigation. So next time you get a collections call be polite, professional, patient instead of rude, radical and racist. This will set the right tone for communicating and the collector will do his/her best to bring your matter to a mutual conclusion.

- Elspeth replies to The Russell Wilson Of Debt CollectionsBusiness or personal - NO ONE should pay any caller who refuses to MAIL proof that they owe the debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt! You assume that people who post here are trying to squirm out of their obligations - not so - in fact, people should pay bills they owe. But ONLY to those who have mailed proof of debt/proof that they can collect! Since you say you've read many of the posts here, then you already know that people do get calls for debts they don't owe or have already paid off, and they do get calls from debt collectors who are abusive right from the get-go. The burden of proof is on the debt collector to show the alleged debtor owes money to them, not the other way around. Sorry, but I don't buy your mantra that "So next time you get a collections call be polite, professional, patient instead of rude, radical and racist. This will set the right tone for communicating and the collector will do his/her best to bring your matter to a mutual conclusion." If I receive a call from someone who is rude, all that gets them is a click as I hang up the phone.

- Bruce replies to Dean| 1 replyI agree with most all of the other participants in this post. Whether you have an old debt, or not, try looking into the FDCA, which is the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I'm sure if armed with a little information on the FDCA you too can stop the crappy practices of Rouch/Milliken collections. The first rule they brake is that they claim to be an attourney's office. Just do some due dilligance, and it's easy to back them off. If they don't stop, there are several lawyers that will take care of it, no charge to you. They sue Rouch, and you can actually make a few bucks. Maybe you can use your new found money to pay down your debt!
Hope this helps,
Bruce
P.S.
The BBB should be ashamed to give Rouch-Milliken any kind of rating, much less a good one! Just another example of a run away train, with no one governing them. They're as bad as the credit bureau's themselves. Stand up for what's right! - Bernadette VinciI have been harassed at work and home with threatening messages. This company must be shut down.
