Me too. Same damn call. After asking him several questions, to prove he was from Miscrosoft, I finally told him that he was a lying scammer and hung up on him. DO NOT BE FOOLED!

Ha! that's great! Had to laugh because I will usually "play" with telemarketers also. Learned this soon after we bought our first home and it was like an explosion of calls. One night I got a call just as I was putting dinner on (go figure). So I asked him if he could hold just a sec......I put the phone down and proceeded with dinner and returned to check every 5 or 10 minutes.....he was still there each time right up till the dishes were done!
Secondarily, I have been dinged three months in a row for this and the first couple times it was our son's phone and when he said he didn't we didn't believe him. Then it hit my phone. I know I didn't. Verizon has been cool and removed the charges but if they send another text or something (i don't have a text like that nor do I recall any kind of solicitatious phone call) then another 9.99 charge! what to do, what to do?

My son answered the phone and they remoted to his co,puter.She sounded chineses he said.
He is only 11 so not sure how they got on his computer & I dont know what they did.Pretty scary and makes me so mad.

caller claimed to be representing microsoft and said they got a report from my computer about some error messages, i hung up at that point but they continue to call

This number called my house. My wife answered and they told her to turn on her computer. Then said some sexual comments to her. I tried to call back but continue getting a busy signal!!!

I had the same person call me - sounded Indian to me. He tried to tell me he was from Micro Soft and I needed to give him access to my pc - I responded - "oh ok, just wait a minute and I'll get the CRTC on the line to listen in while you are feeding me this line of poop!"  He abruptly said thats ok and hung up!!

I have been getting calls from the 510 numbers and the last 4 digits may change depending on the call.  I never answer but tried calling back.  Each time I call it says your call cannot be completed at this time.  It would be interesting to know how they receive our phone numbers. I have been receiving the calls for the last 4-5 days this week.

I RECEIVED 03 CALL FROM 510-943-3040 ON DEC24 THREE TIME 0813,814,815.THERE WAS MUSIC IN BACK GROUND BUT NO BODY WAS SPEAKING FROM OTHER SIDE,IT WASTED MY PRECIOUS TIME WHILE I WAS DOING SOME IMPORTANT WORK.

Caller said he was from Microsoft and that my computer had error messages that he could fix. Caller sounded Indian. The police in Ontario have issued fraud warnings for this scam. If you get a call like this, report it to the OPP at 1-888-495-8510

they just called me and didn't leave a message, and this is a government phone.  If they call back I'm going to ask them to hold then send them to the IT people!

Constant.  Silence.  I do no pick up phone.  Very annoying.

If you answer the phone and talk to these con artists do not give the caller any information or access to your computer. I got a call a few weeks ago and knew immediately that it was a scam because I didn't call anybody for any tech support. If you are an IT nerd please stick it to these criminals somehow! You can also see various videos of people who have recorded their calls with these bogus tech support scumbags on youtube, just do a search for "India windows scam" or windows telephone scam, or any similar words :)

Dear friend you should delete your phone number from the internet if you don't want it floating around, available to everyone and anyone. These people are not running a reputable company so you can't deal with them reasonably and they are certainly not going to honour your request to remove your tel# from their calling list.

I have been receiving calls from this number of late and was able to answer the call today. Same thing,..,,.,recorded good bye.
