This is a business and when we answer the phone the caller hangs up. When you call the number back it says this call can not be completed at this time.

I have received numerous calls from 510-943-3040 and have not been answering, Well today I answered adn it was a man with a strong Indian accent asking me if I wanted to F*&^%, I said what and he repeated himself. I then informed him that if he calls again I will be contacting the authorities and hung up.

After riding my polar bear to the nearest town with electricity and a computer to read these comments, I must agree that more often, I've heard stereotypical assumptions made of Canadians by Americans. However, I've also heard some Canadians make snide or rude comments regarding Americans. It's a 2-way street!

I just received one too. Hung up on him. I live in Ontario.

I've gotten several calls from this number and one in New York and Florida all wanting to fix my computer.  I kept asking why they were so interested in my computer. There was silence then the east indian sounding voice named "Peter" said he wanted to hack my computer and hung up. They don't stop calling!!!! I don't know what I can do about this. Any suggestions?

It's the fake Microsoft Scammers...the scam originated in the UK in 2008, and its been operating in one form or another since then. They call telling you that you have multiple ports open and that your computer is infected with virus (s). They attempt to get you to type in your computer's operation code that came with your computer, and you say that you don't know it; they give you a code which will allow them to have 100% remote access of your computer. They are now identifying themselves as working for "Windows". We've had calls from Mike, Sandra, Alex, Janet...etc...  In Canada you can report these calls to info@antifraudcentre.ca or let your local RCMP Det. know.

I RECEIVED 2 CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER IN 2 DAYS!! I AM ON THE NO CALL LIST, THEREFORE I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE I CAN DO EXCEPT REPORT THIS SITUATION! I AM ANNOYED OF THIS!!

I got a call from this number today in Vancouver. The guy said my PC has some probelm and he will fix it for me. When I said "That's a scam", he said " no.. no" and hung up the phone..

This lady called me to tell me that My computer sent them many messages saying that it had been sending them all this info remotely that it has a virus and such.  I needed to go to my computer so she could prove it to her.  She said she was calling from Windows.  I asked her how she got my number but she didnt not respond.  She did however know my email address.  I asked her what kind of computer I had and she told me there was no way she could tell me this.  I then asked her what type of operating system I ran and she hung up on me.

I received a call last night saying they were from Microsoft and that my files have been compromised by hackers. They wanted ID number to remotely access my computer. I told them I would call Microsoft myself to verify the call, they got nasty and hung up. I called Microsoft, they took all the particulars and directed me to www.cybercrime.gov to lodge a complaint, which I did. It is the FBI. Hopefully, with everyone filing complaints, we will all eventually feel safer.

I've gotten call twice today, no message and no one talked, then a computer voice said "Good bye", this is annoying, if this is a scam I wish it would stop,

just recieved a call from this number tonight at 8:15 pm Eastern time zone (Indiana) said hello 4 times  no answer waited  then  got silent and hung up  tried to call back and just kept ringing  for  straight 20 minutes(I wanted to see how long it would take for someone to answer LOL)

I gave them remote access and even bought a 1 year premium tech service package off them, purchased it right online. I am such a dork! Now I've had to cancel my credit card and am trying to get a refund. I'm not a techie so I'll have to put my computer in to get fixed, he was on it for about an hour...I'm so stupid!

Any call like this is aways a scam. That said, you can have some fun with them. Lead them on and on, wasting their time - my system is open to you, please try again, and on and on. Then thank them for the entertainment and hang up :) It can be quite amusing...

Got the same call, he ask if i have windows operatoring system. I told him how many windows I had.  Then i kept going on about the living room and bedroom windows and so on.  I told him that we just had to replace our windows and just kept going on.  I kept him on the phone for about 20 minutes  then blow a whistle over the phone.  Best way to get rid of them

Got a call from this number a couple times before, but last night about 2 am. they called again and hung up. This number I don't know who it is, you can't call it back.

I just received the call and seen the 510 prefix and knew it was a scammer and came here to look up the number.  When I have time and I get these calls and in a mood to play, I'll answer the phone and say "Joint Services..."  or "Brown's Funeral Home.."  or say "just a sec, I need to turn my recorder on..."  or "Operations Centre.." they hesitate and hang up.  Or I'll call and be so nice and tell them to hold on I need to go to the computer and put them on hold...  one guy stayed on for about 7 minutes one time.  I work on frustrating these people.  It's a shame that they get to some trusting people and I hate them for that.

I got a call from 510-943-3040, he told me that he was from Mico Soft and that he was getting messages from my Microsoft computer.  I told him I don't have a Microsoft computer and asked him how he got my number.  He hung up, and he also sounded Pakistan.  I will report it also
