prank calls from this number and annoying pls advise ~

Get a call every day and there's no one there. First call was from Microsoft claiming to do a computer check. I really need to to these calls.

do a factory restore, and it will renew your computer to the state it was when you bought it. to do this when you start up keep pressing F10 until the retore window starts up, then follow the instructions. unfortunately this restores you computer to the day you bought it, and you lose everything you added after that date. but it will be fixed. and brand new again.

Yup.  Just got off the phone with these jokers.  I have had a total of 3 calls from them over the last 3 or 4 months.  As soon as he started his chatter I hung up.  Then I decided to look into the phone number and that led me to this blog.  My suggestion is to just hang up... reporting the call to anyone will not likely give you any assistance or satisfaction.  Just hang up.

An India accent caller asking for my fiance so i told him one moment please and then i came back on line and pretended to be my fiance just to see what they wanted he claimed to be calling about an auto finance loan application and wanted me to verify some information which of course I WAS NOT GOING TO DO so I told him I was not interested at this time and DO NOT call this number again and I was going to be contacting my Law Enforcement Agency!!!

This number called my cell phone 5 times in a row this morning! I was on an important call and did not answer. Once I realized they did not leave a message, I decided to google the number - glad I did! Crazy! I am in MD - the number came up Fremont, CA.

Got the call just now.

They Will call again for sure. I can't get rid of them.

I just received a phone call from this number. 510-943-3040 I didnt answer bc i knew it was from CA and I dnt know anyone from that state. Theyve called 2x so far and no voicemails. Im on the DO NOT CALL LIST and the f***ers still call me its annoying and I want it to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can I make numbers stop calling me?????

We get the same calls .My wife said we don't have a computer, nope, not here.There responce to this was click. Since then we use this line when they call and the calls have gone down.Try it next time.

Can everybody, Canadian and American, agree that both of our nations have [***] we'd rather not associate ourselves with.  Saying all Canadians or Americans are <blank> is useless, we all know an exception to the rule.  I don't wanna live on this planet anymore.

Please stop this phone number from calling my house.  they are calling 10 times a day sometimes 2 minutes apart.  I can't believe someone can't do anything about these people.  I see some complaints go back to 2011.  thanki you

I just received a call from the 510-943-3040, telling me that my computer had been infected with all kindsx of virus',and that he was from microsoft. I told him I didnt make any report that my computer was infected, and he told me that I didnt have to make a complaint, that from their offices, they could tell that my computer had downloaded a bunch of malware & virus'....knowing that this is BS...and having the pleasure of this guy NOT knowing who he had called...I decided to have some fun with this moron!
I told him that this was his unlucky day, because my husband is a government contractor for the US Army, (which he is), and that I have software and anti virus software to protect my computer that the normal indiviual doesnt have!!!
I told him he better get another career, and lose my number!
When I tried to call this number back either from my cell or land line, it did nothing, it wouldnt even ring!!

Just got a call from an insisting technician (from Microsoft, but the speech does not reflects that of Microsoft Tech Support, far from it.) first a chineese that speaks so bad that need to pass the handset to his superior India the speaks a bit better, he needs to clean my computer quickly!  for $99 from remote using LogmeIn via his web site http://www.support.me I did a whois while entertaining the 2 techs and here it is :

Got a call from this number.  They said they were from "Windows Microsoft" calling about error messages on my computer.  Asked me to turn on my computer.  I said I would not and hung up.
