- RonI received a recorded call from these people today at around 8:00 am. The recording said something about an urgent court matter and gave a "1-800" number for me to call. I had just woke up and didn't remember the number (they didn't repeat it), but had 'this' number (512-532-8633) from my caller ID and called it.
The woman I spoke to said they are "Municipal Services Bureau". She said it concerned my son (whom I have not seen for over six years), and a court matter relating to an unresolved traffic violation of his. When I told her that he has not been here for almost seven years, she said she would remove my number from their database.
The lady I spoke to was nice enough and although it isn't the 'Salvation Army', I think they are a legitimate business trying to recover money from otherwise unrecoverable (high risk) resources. - Ron replies to LizRE: Liz
As in my case, it wasn't my traffic violation (I've never had a ticket), but my son's, whom I have not seen for years. I called this number and told them that my son is not here and the woman said she will remove my number from their database.
I would suggest that you call them and find out why they are calling and explain your circumstances. - Ron replies to WhoCaresHow can you stand on the 'wrong' side of the fence and demand others (such as this company) stay on the 'right' side. You said "the way this company operates is harassment that should be illegal". Yet YOU have committed the crime (you admitted that). We can not live and thrive in a country full of the double standards set by people who want everything to be "both ways". Where is the line? What else will you divide into "your way- and their way"?
If you don't agree with thew law, change it by electing the officials that make the laws. (which should be easy, since most politicians have double standards as well... ) ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯ - Ron replies to succesful manWhen I read your comment, I was like 'ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha' . XD
(I hope your name is not really Robert G...... This is the wrong forum to post that information.)
Thanks for brightening up an otherwise boring comment section. ヽ(´▽`)/ - - Ron replies to KarmaRE: Karma
You said in your comment:
"I'm a pretty legit dude now, in college for software engineering". "I'm probably think of something better and with my education I know how to plan, document, and research, so if it's a fight they want then I'm eager to get another PERFECT!"
I'm glad you are furthering your education, but going by the linguistic accuracy of your comment (with emphasis on the syntax and morphology of the semantics), you might be illegible for a refund... ㋡ - Ron replies to Having Fun with 5125328633You ought to put that on YouTube! Heck, Tom Mabe would love that one (if he hasn't already tried it).

Phone call in evenings only around 9 pm.- Caller: Gilo Corp
- frustratedThis number calls 1 or 2 times a day. They leave a message that this is not a sales call but must get back to them about an important court matter. I have tried to call back and get hung up on.
- Caller: Gila Corp
- R DowThis "Gila Corp." keeps calling my mother-in-law and says nothing. There should be something we can do to put an end to this type of scam. They are scaring her relentlessly, and she doesn't understand who could be doing things like this. She's afraid someone is checking to see if she's home so they can do harm to her, or rob her. I've put her on the so-called "Do Not Call List", but that doesn't seem to have any effect any longer. Is there something else that can be done to stop these calls?
- Caller: Gila Corp
- r7gonWe just had a phone installed about a week ago and we have been getting phone calls from this number. Caller ID says it's the Gila Group (whoever they are). On the occasion that I have picked up there is only silence, though I can hear them on the phone. They also call in the evenings and leave a voicemail and when you call they are closed.
- Caller: Gila Group
- MarthaNeeds to stop calling my home
- Caller: municipal court collections?
- AnonymThese bottom-feeders call using several different tactics. I have never had a traffic ticket, no unpaid bills, first-rate credit, so why the hell are they calling me? Because a relative owed some utility bills and has since passed away a few years ago. The relative NEVER lived with me, never ever set foot in the state where I live, and was in no way connected other than by bloodlines. When I told them she had died, they laughed it off. The stupid [***] can easily look it up in the Social Security records to verify it for themselves but then they are way too stupid to know that. Intimidation is their game. They need to be reported to the state attorney general and I will do that for certain. They have no ethics whatsoever.

- jsueGet this call several times a day. Some nonsense about an "urgent court matter." BS, I say. If it were really important then a person would be contacted in an entirely different manner. Bums.

- anita estrellai keep receiving these phone call. they are a nuisance
- Tiger DaveThis was a legitimate phone call from a representative regarding a court matter for my son. They gave me a reference number and a direct number for the handler of the account.
I hate getting phone calls from debt collectors, but I have to say that, in regards to law enforcement, this makes perfect sense. The court passes off debt collection to others so it doesn't have to waste its time and resources handling it. I also feel that, if you "walked up to the counter and asked for five pounds of dumb-ass" then you shouldn't complain when they give you those five pounds. If you deserve special consideration, go to the court and discuss it with them. I have ordered a serving or two of dumb-ass myself in my time, but the court was always willing to work with me in regards to paying my fines. Instead of ignoring it, address it and get it taken care of.- Caller: Municipal Services Bureau

- LUELLA M PaulsrudI sent a message previously. I said they were a scam company but I don't know for sure. However, the internet complaints say they are. I feel that if it was so important that I needed to call them right away, I would've received something in the mail since I've had these calls since. Jan. 27th. Please help me!

- DolphThis number keeps calling my Text Now account. I don't have any tickets or violations and the number they call is not on file for me anywhere as it is just a free phone number I got through a free app. Pretty sure these companies are a scam.
